Exceptionally creamy soft serve. They had a bunch of hard ice cream flavors, too, including pistachio. Sundaes, cones, shakes, etc. A great summer stop.

Great ice cream, generous servings, nicely priced. Have gone often over the years. Always good soft ice cream, value priced. Local, or traveling through, you must stop and have some.
Friends from Manhattan who grew up in Red Hook told us not to miss Holy Cow the next time we were in the Hudson Valley. They said it offered the best soft serve ice cream in the world and, gosh, were they right. Just terrific!
I grew up in Red Hook and never had a bad experience here. The ice cream is out of this world and the prices are decent. Always see big lines at this local establishment in Red Hook and wanted to give it a shot. Have to say I'm not that impressed either with the service or with the quality of the ice cream. You're better off going to the local supermarket and buying a pint of Haagan Daz or Ben and Jerry's.
Very good ice cream and its a must stop if you are ever in Red Hook! The only thing is that they do not take Debt or Credit Cards..they must have a reason but just an FYI if you go!
Love, love, love Holy Cow's ice cream. My favorite is their vanilla. It tastes so fresh and vanillae. Also love the razzle with butterfingers. Service is quick even when the line is out the door as it often is this time of year. Their ice cream is the only one I'll buy.
This Ice Cream Shop is the best in Dutchess/Ulster County. We travel across the bridge to get this ice cream. Full of Flavor for sure. The prices are even worth crossing the bridge. You can feed a family of 4, under 10 dollars. The women that is owner is all about the community. GREAT PLACE!
