We stopped here on our way home from Lake George. The place is kind was an upscale Cracker barrel except the store was bigger. They had an upstairs shop too (no rocking chairs. (lol) The decor was so rustic nice wood very cozy. The staff...was very friendly and our breakfast was delicious. My husband loves eggs benedict and they did not disappoint. It was delicious. I had the french toast with fresh strawberries. recommend both. Would definitely go back.More

Mixed feelings on this spot. We waited over an hour :( we were told 40 minutes. Ordering got mixed up, for a few of my party- but i gotta say, my meal was a diner breakfast elevated to near perfection. I had 2 eggs, english...muffin, bacon and home fries. It was great, I loved the home fries, no additional seasoning was needed. My eggs were perfect as well. They use a very good grade of bacon, and it is crispy. I tried my friend's biscuit gravy, and it was very very good. If i was judging based on just MY food- its a 5 star. But because of some other things, i would say 3.5 stars. My party had a few issues, The sweet tea obviously wasn't steeped long enough, it was weak. A few things didn't come out, so we had to ask for them. The breakfast food ordered was all really good. The Southerner is massive and everything you want if you love biscuits, eggs, home fries, sausage and gravy! The online menu did not match the actual restaurant menu. Because of covid, and the hour long wait to be seated we planned ahead what to order. That changed when we sat down to see the real menu. The restaurant is very popular, and has a great reputation for good food. So ... maybe limit how many people can come and eat, or expand the dining room. The dining room and staff can only fit so many people. I'm not sure the covid guideline # of occupants was observed. The gift shop and restaurant was very packed, and no one was counting how many were let in. We eventually went to the porch to wait. Maybe this place is just too good and needs to set up a reservation system. Good food , overall.More

We are staying in Lake George & the concierge recommended this place. Lucky we got there early! We only had to wait 20 min at 8:45 on a Sat am... we left around 10am and there were tons of people waiting. Great food. We had...French toast & sausage, Belgian waffles & my teenage son had the Adirondack breakfast sandwich! Very cute shop attached to it. We picked up some great Christmas presents. We would definitely go back!More

Amazing Donuts!! We were told a 30 min wait and given a buzzer. Shopped around the store and grabbed a pack of donuts. I noticed that the inside of the package still had some fog on the inside from the donut being warm!!! I decided...I wanted to wait till after breakfast to have them. I wanted to save room for breakfast. We ended up waiting over and hour for our table. I completely understand that they can only run at 50% but they really need to set higher expectations, or set a limit on the tables. I’m not sure how the seating worked either because we were told the we had 2 ahead of us. We watched 2 families get called in so we made our way inside since we’d be soon. I then watched as a women said her buzzer didn’t work, the women told her that she had a few more people, the women complained about waiting and then all the sudden was seated. I decided to ask again how long since it was over an hour, and I was then seated after the women said they were just cleaning a table. We were seated in a room that was completely empty of any people. Another room was also being cleaned. Shortly after we were seated , 2 other tables were seated, next to us. Then a large party was seated in the other room. I’m not sure what happened, but it sure didn’t feel nice. Our waitress was great and I hate that I can’t remember her name. The food was good solid breakfast food. My chocolate milk was delicious!!! My daughter and husband loved the pancakes and my French toast was really good!! Enjoy people, just be weary of the wait!!! The front desk women was very lovely, I just think she chose to seat someone else over me and my family. It was my daughters birthday, we drove up from MA just to eat here and another place in Lake George.More

The smell of the freshly fried apple cider donuts greets you as you walk through the door. We LOVE good donuts and try them everywhere we go, so have high standards. OMG! These are unbeleivably good. They are a classic fried cake, with an almost...slightly cripsy outer layer and moist interior. Each was well-coated in cinnamon-sugar. I felt like it was Autumn in August; just needed some apple cider to go with them! These are incredibly addicting, and reasonably priced. HIGHLY recommended. On another note: we did not end up eating at the restaurant. The store is full of a wide variety of unique items, several of which we bought for gifts.More

We found Silo on our last day visiting the area and wish we would have found it much sooner. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was some of the best we had during our vacation. Our server Justin was a wonderful young man who...made sure we had everything we needed. We could not have been happier with his service. The wait was a little long when we got there, but time flew by as we looked around the cute little gift shop. Found lots of nice little gifts and delicious jams. Couldn't resist getting some cider donuts on our way out. Cannot wait to visit again next year on our annual vacation to Lake George.More

Multi floor gift shop that had something for everyone at reasonable prices. Grabbed some excellent apple cider donuts to go that were...perfection. I would definitely return if I was in the area,More
