There is always a wait on Sundays at The Silo, but boy is it worth it. The staff is always hustling food out like a machine while they remain friendly and cheerful. The food is out of this world and HUGE portions. Come with an empty belly, be patient during your wait, and enjoy a perfectly cooked breakfast that tastes like it just came out of your grandmother’s kitchen!!!! A must try. Enjoy.

Have stayed in the Lake George area numerous times over the years, but had never been to The Silo. That was a mistake. My wife and I gave it a try this morning for the very first time. First let me start by saying that there was a little wait to get in. This was not an issue, since there is a gift shop, that my wife loved and had no problem spending the time, until our name was called to be seated. We had trouble deciding what to order. After a couple suggestions from our waitress, we got the Big Country Breakfast and Eggs Benedict with hash. Both dishes looked and tasted delicious. These meals were huge. If you like cinnamon rolls, you have got to try the cinnamon roll pancakes (sinful)! As we enjoyed our meal, we took in the sights and smells of the other meals being delivered around us! A gentleman sitting to my right, got a breakfast burrito, that was about the size of a small child’s arm!!! Our waitress and all the staff were helpful, friendly and just down right nice. While this was our first time at The Silo, it definitely will not be the last. We have already talked about things we what to try on our subsequent visits!!!
Do your self a favor and give them a try!!

Although they do not take reservations, our wait was only about 15-20 minutes on a busy Easter morning. Our waitress was very accommodating by offering extra plates when I wanted to share my cinnamon swirl bun and assuring us to take our time. This was a great choice compared to eating Easter Brunch somewhere, paying at least twice as much and getting exactly what you want in a comfortable atmosphere. The menu is extensive and I could not finish my omelet, bacon and toast. It was nice to walk around the store during our time waiting to be seated and afterwards to admire the nice selection of items for sale. We will definitely be back again.

A once favorite for breakfast must have a new cook. Home fries were heavily spiced and inedible. Eggs were good as were toast and bacon. Pancakes were the best! The service was very good with coffee refills aplenty. All-in-all, just don't get the home fries and you'll enjoy.

We went to the Silo for lunch. We arrived around 1pm and there was a 15 minute wait. While we waited for our table, we walked around the store. There were lots of unusual things for sale. The store is on two levels.
We ordered sandwiches. I ordered the Au Jus Roast Beef sandwich but the waitress, Bri, put it in as the ADK Roast Beef Sandwich (Roast beef, lettuce, tomato, roasted red peppers, bacon, cheddar, Russian-
horseradish dressing on a hard roll). She offered to take it back but it looked delicious so I decided to keep it. I selected onion rings as a side for an upcharge. Hubby ordered the Hot Pastrami (Spicy brown mustard, dill pickles, melted Swiss) which he enjoyed.
Our friends ordered the Hot Turkey Manhattan (Open faced sandwich stacked with white bread, creamy mashed potatoes, french
fries, cranberry sauce & gravy) and Buffalo Chicken Wrap (crispy chicken tenders, lettuce, tomato, red onion, celery - carrot slaw, blue cheese crumbles, Buffalo sauce & a side of blue cheese dressing. The hot turkey sandwich was served on white bread the size of Texas Toast. The sweet potato fries were an upcharge.
We purchased some gifts in the store along with a few pieces of chocolate.

We ate here twice. There’s usually a wait, you can shop for fudge, cider donuts or gifts while you wait. The building is an old barn reassembled, beautiful. The waitresses are pros. The food is perfection, large portions.the coffee keeps coming. The pancakes are large and tasty.
It’s the kind of place the whole family can go to.

We always stop here on our way up the Northway. Their apple cider donuts are delicious, always fresh and taste amazing hot out of the frier. Not only can you get their donuts in 6 and 12 packs, but you can also pick up fudge, candy, snacks and all sorts of cool items to share with friends and family, or to use for yourself.
100% worth the stop, and it gives you a nice break if you have been driving all day!

As The Silo doesn't take reservations, we waited an hour to be seated for our Sun. brunch. As they have a country store which is located on 3 floors, we just shopped & browsed while we waited. They have lots of gift items to look at, including greeting cards, jewelry, homemade fudge, & on & on - things you'd expect to see at a country store. When I first walked in, it reminded me a little of the Cracker Barrel country store. FYI, this restaurant with a country aesthetic is open daily from 7 am to 12: 30 pm. Their omelets were large. As we were leaving, I happened to notice a diner had a pancake on her plate which was the size of the entire dinner plate. Our waitress, Katie, was lovely to us. The one negative was that it took quite a long time to get our food. I guess they just were mobbed as it was Sun. brunch time. As we were with friends, we just enjoyed chatting. It still though was quite a lengthy wait before the food came.

Had to wait to get a table. Once seated, it took a while to get served. Once I ordered, it took a crazy long time to get our food. My omelette was undercooked runny. Food portions were large, but mainly nasty would not recommend.

We stopped for a spontaneous lunch at The Silo on a Saturday. It has been years since we’ve been in, but I’m glad we stopped. We both got the cheeseburgers with regular fries. The burgers were cooked exactly how we each asked and were quite substantial. The fries were a bit boring (shoestring) and overcooked. Our waitress occasionally forgot about us, maybe because it was a bit busy or maybe because we were sitting in a dark corner. She did make up for it by being very apologetic and not forgetting that she was going to get a refill of the soda, just that she hadn’t gotten to it yet. Overall a nice visit and a filling meal that was cooked to taste.

Fantastic value for taste, portion and price. Lots of options as well as regular menu items. I tried the French toast and it was great. Despite being busy, our server was great and food came out in a reasonable time. The restaurant is incorporated into the store/gift shop to the left when you enter.

One of the best places to get breakfast we have had the pleasure of visiting in the Lake George area. From the excellent service and attentiveness we received from our server Devon to the delicious food and reasonable prices, our experience at the restaurant and gift shop was exceptional and delightful. We will definitely be back soon.

We just couldn't wait to get in here! Loved it so much got in twice on this trip! We drooled over the online menu and it did not disappoint. After you put your name on the wait list, go shop 3 floors of terrific shopping! Get the freshly made apple cider donuts. Get the hand dipped chocolates.
Service is quick and perfect. Staff are so happy and helpful. Kudos to all!
We had: Chicken & waffles, cinnamon roll pancakes, the fried cheese curds (you must order this!!!), biscuits, eggs, and numerous other breakfast faves. Everything was out of this world delicious. I will be dreaming about those cheese curds until I get back up there!

I stopped by with a friend on Saturday morning and we were lucky to get in before the rush. There was starting to be a long line of customers on our way out. The hot apple cider was delicious and the serving sizes were huge. I had the cinnamon roll pancakes, and a single pancake would have been plenty! It was a tad on the sweet side for me, but still good. My friend had the cider donut French toast, which was very good (I snuck a bite). The bacon was also really good. The waitstaff were polite and attentive and the restaurant has a nice vibe. Kind of like a local Cracker Barrel. It was a solid experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good breakfast.

We are staying in Lake George & the concierge recommended this place. Lucky we got there early! We only had to wait 20 min at 8:45 on a Sat am... we left around 10am and there were tons of people waiting. Great food. We had French toast & sausage, Belgian waffles & my teenage son had the Adirondack breakfast sandwich! Very cute shop attached to it. We picked up some great Christmas presents. We would definitely go back!
