Read about this place and thought it was just another ice cream place with a good PR department. Wife insisted on going. Martha's has two sections, an ice cream section and a fast food section. The fast food section is good; nothing spectacular. The ice cream section is the star! Whatever flavor you choose, it's heavy on it. Not just a " hint of. " For example. I ordered peanut butter and my wife coconut. You can really taste the peanut butter and the coconut. I had ice cream elsewhere wherein the flavor was just a " hint ". And be aware that their smallest cone (my wife asked how small is their cone) is humongous. Think of all those calories. I don't know if they only have one size though. You order, they give you a pickup slip and you pick it up when your number is called. There is no sit inside restaurant area. The sitting area is outside and is covered. It's a short drive from Lake George. Drop by! Decent parking lot and clean eating area. Look for the big Rooster as a landmark when approaching Marthas!

Great ice cream, lots of flavor options. This is only soft serve ice cream though they do have shave ice, ice cream cakes and ice cream sandwiches. They rotate the flavors i believe every 3 days so check online before going if you want a certain flavor. Long lines but move fast and lots of windows for service. They also have food serving lines as well. I got a kids soft serve come and it was very big and the small size was so large. I prefer hard over soft ice cream but this definitely hit the spot. Quite a unique place to check out

I stumbled across the reviews on TA and we decided to check it out while driving by. The portions were huge, and the blueberry soft serve was delicious. I got a brownie sundae, i would suggest just sticking to an ice cream dish as the brownies took away from the really yummy soft serve. I am usually a hard dip fan, but this was a good stop.

I had been told about Martha's by multiple people, prior to our first trip to the LG area, needless to say the reputation was clearly earned and something they strive to keep. My family loves ice cream and the cones are gigantic and the ice cream tasty. Everyone had multiple flavors our several days and no one left hungry or unsatisfied. The strawberry and coffee were excellent and the milkshakes were thick and delicious... The biggest surprise for me is they have Hawaiian Shaved Ice, which honestly a lot of places "claim"to have and it's just hard ice with a drop of liquid. Not at Martha's! It is the closest thing I've had to actually Hawaii Shaved Ice since I was in Hawaii. It was phenomenal, I had Lime, Black Cherry and Blueberry over the course of multiple days. All very appropriately priced and awesome. Actual shaved ice and quality liquid, it was great. Service was great, everyone appropriately masked and precautions. Long lines after 8pm, moved fast. Highly recommend it you are in the LG Area!

This is a place with a great variety of soft ice cream flavors and food as well. Maybe too many ice cream flavors. I had the banana flavor and my wife had the raspberry chocolate swirl. Both the banana and raspberry flavors tasted fake. The place is nice, the help was nice, the bathrooms were spotless but the flavor was lacking.

We took advantage of both the grill and the ice cream. The onion rings were hot, crispy, and tasty. The lemon ice cream was like none other. The young people manning the windows were pleasant and knew what they were doing. Hope they keep going another 75 years!

This was a place that we have been wanting to try but it's always so busy. We bit the bullet and went there mid afternoon. So delicious. Soft serve had different flavors. Raspberry and chocolate twist and blueberry were incredible.

What a great place! Visited with my family while vacationing in Lake George. This is a place you must visit when you stay in the area. The ice cream is great and the cones are huge. My family ordered the small cones and they were equivalent to any large cone I've ordered anywhere else. I loved the environment, it was like traveling back to the good old days of the 50's.

As a first time visitor to Lake George, Martha's Dandee Creme quickly became a must-try place on our list after we drove past it one day and noticed a line of people waiting by the windows to order. From the road, the decor of the building is a nostalgic throwback to ice cream shops from decades past. I enjoyed a peanut butter/chocolate ice cream sandwich, which was DELICIOUS (it tasted just like a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup), but I was a little disappointed to see that it was prepackaged. I was hoping to see it swirled together fresh right then and there, but honestly, it wasn't that big of a deal to me either way. I also tried a bite of my boyfriends chicken sandwich and mozzarella sticks. Both were enjoyable and not greasy at all. We had fun eating at the outdoor tables and watching as people of all ages came and went to indulge in a delicious scoop of ice cream.

This place is awesome. The sizes of the ice cream are unbelievable. Their small size is most other places' large, and its right around the same price. Flavors are rich, and the menu is large, with rotating flavor offerings. We also had lunch, and it is the typical drive-in fare (burgers, fries, hot dogs, etc). All were very good, as well. Plenty of windows to keep wait times low, too, in addition to many places to sit. A must stop on your visit to the Lake George area.

I love nearby, well about 49 mins away, and I have always wanted to stop in for their soft serve ice cream. I finally did, and was pleased with their ice cream. I got a kiddie size blue moon. The kiddie was plenty enough, especially in a warm day (I was able to keep up with the melting ice cream). My husband had a peanut butter and chocolate ice cream twist. His was a small, and was ample in size(he had a difficult time trying to keep up with the dripping ice cream). I was disappointed that the ice cream wasn’t homemade l, and the flavor was good but not spectacularly so. Overall though certainly worth a try.

We came for ice cream here twice during our short stay in Lake George. The ice cream is very good. We particularly enjoyed the orange cream twist and the peanut butter chocolate twist. You can check their calendar of flavors online to see the different soft ice cream flavors being offered each day. We received fast and friendly service, and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Our party of 16 visited this place after dinner about 3 out of the 5 days we where in Lake George. It was a fun outing just grabbing soda floats, trying their different selections of ice cream flavor and ice. We also order lunch one day, chicken fingers with fries-the chicken fingers are real large chicken pieces tasted great. Sandwiches, fish sandwiches all good for a fast bite. The kids and adults enjoyed this place.

My wife had seen a review of this ice cream shop online so as tourists out and about we came across it, and she, being a big soft serve fanatic had to stop and give it a try. I made the mistake of ordering a large cone, had to be at least a quart of ice cream!!! They gave me a dish to turn it over into. I couldn't finish it all. Takes to a small freezer in our hotel mini fridge I was able to save the leftover to finish later. My wife got a small and had trouble finishing that, and it was very good, lots of flavor choices

Martha's is directly across from Six Flags and not only a tourist favorite but local residents also love it. They have many counters due to the large amount of customers they frequently have. My favorite combo is banana chocolate swirl. It is very difficult to even finish a SMALL. They also have many food items, including a burger that has 2 patties and tasty french fries! If you love soft-serve, do not miss this place while in Lake George. They have a covered seating area with many tables as well as bathrooms and it has always been clean when we have visited.
