2023 Restaurant Week

Came for a quick lunch during Greene County Restaurant Week. Zoe was my server, attentive and polite. I had a fresh fruit salad as an appetizer. I chose the Round Top Burger as the entree. Both were very good. The fruit salad was fresh with bananas, grapes, strawberries and blueberries. The Round Top was also very tasty. Hours of operation are 7:00am to 3:00pm. No Credit/Debit cards, only Cash.

Cute place with good food!

A cute little touristy cafe that is WAY undersized and busy during any peak season but the good food and nice service makes up for it. The Log Cabin Cafe has all of your breakfast standards and they do them right. Parking will likely be busy and tight outside and you may have to wait a while for a table with a confusing seating process that seems to put party mix over wait time. It’s very cute inside and they also have a selection of grocery type items for sale so while you are eating someone might walk by your table to buy a gallon of milk!! Restrooms are clean and themed as well.

Excellent breakfast

We are staying VRBO and the owners have a book that visitors write in. A lot of the submissions said to eat breakfast at this establishment. I am glad we did. We got there later in the morning so no issue getting a table. The food was excellent. I had fried eggs over medium with the sides. The eggs were perfectly cooked as well as the bacon, potatoes and the English muffin. My son had an omelet and daughter-in-law had scrambled eggs and French toast. The server, sorry forget her name, asked my daughter-in-law if she would like real maple syrup or honey. REAL maple syrup it was. The server along with the food was fabulous! Recommend for breakfast. They only take cash which was fine with me. I know this is an issue for some if they aren't expecting it.

Stopped in with my wife for a meal. It was about 20 minutes past 11:00 am and I inquired if they were still serving Breakfast. The reply was "No, we stop serving Breakfast at 11:00 am." I surmise they are following the Burger King/ McDonald's guidelines ?? Natalie, our server, cleaned and disinfected the table thoroughly. My wife ordered the Turkey BLT wrap w/ cucumber salad. I had the Round Top sandwich w/ red cabbage. The meal was very good and our server was on point. She was taking care of all the tables in this restaurant. They don't take Credit/ Debit cards. They only take cash. In this present time of the pandemic, handling other people's currency makes me feel uneased. Also, upon cashing out, the older gentleman behind the register, asked if I would like change ?? Well, yes, that is why I am standing here !! Very disconcerting to say the least. I left the tip on the table and left with my wife. We won't be back.

I drove 20 miles on account of the reviews. Here is my review. Depressing atmosphere, paper plate. Home fries uncooked. Tepid coffee. I should have just thrown the $15.00 in the door and drive away. How hard is it to cook potatoes and fry an egg

Service super friendly. Wonderful owners - they make you feel like part of a family. Orders seem a little slow coming out of kitchen on Sundays but as long as my coffee cup is full, I dont care. Just wish they could offer French fries, onion rinds etc. Otherwise it's a great place with excellent food and the hospitality cant be beat.

Very Good sandwiches and service

Went to The Log Cabin on Wednesday 8/23 for lunch and had very tasty sandwiches. I had the Turkey, bacon, and cheese sandwich on a roll and my wife had the BLT. Both were very good and the prices were good. The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean. Nice place for lunch. Seemed to have a bunch of regulars dining there.

Always excellent. Owners are on the premises, cooking & helping customers. Interesting specials. Great chili omelette, waffles wonderful. Worth the trip. Very cute. Staff very courteous.

Restaurant Week 2024

Came for lunch during Restaurant Week. Ordered the Caprese Salad for an appetizer. Had the hot Roast Beef Sandwich for the Entree. Both Excellent in taste as well as presentation. A super deal for $15. The staff were very friendly and made you feel at Home.

What a great place….so glad we found it! The waitress was so sweet and helpful. Cafe is adorable and very clean. We had breakfast and it was made to perfection. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely go back!

Nice place for lunch. Mostly sandwiches and salads. But a nice choice of them all and very fresh. They have specials like soup or chili. Not a very light kitchen but tasteful. And the cabin inside is great!

Coziest breakfast in the Catskill Mountains

If you find yourself in Cairo, Purling or Round Top in the Catskills of New York. Please treat yourself to a great gourmet breakfast at the Log Cabin. A rustic but impeccably kept spot that will make you feel happy and provide a spectrum of breakfast and lunch choices. Great staff and excellent food. If you are nearby, don't cook breakfast or lunch at home.

Order the waffles!

What a nice place this is! Everyone was so friendly and the food delish. Top tip - order the waffles! My husband did and I didn’t. If I have one regret it’s that. Very busy when we arrived, but service was on the ball and cheerful.
