No slices here, you buy a pie you eat the pie. there is an informal dining room, for Pizza and many sizes on a menu. There is a more formal restaurant in the back with a FULL menu. EVERYTHING is delicious! My only complaint is...that they don't let you order hero's in the casual restaurant??? They do an UNBELIEVABLE job with takeout! They have THE BEST MEATBALL PARMIGIANA HERO'S IN THE WORLD.More

We love this place. It is a go to place for us. Always great food and service. Try the desert trays.

We were here during the last week of our vacation. We ordered burrata with peaches. The peaches were merely sliced, slabbed with premanufactured balsamic-emulsion on top and burrata on the side. Not a dash of salt or pepper in sight. At least roast the peaches...or do something besides placing the ingredients together on a plate. The maincourse was something with pasta and equally uninspiring. For the quality of food and the lackluster performance of the chef we paid way too much. This is not italian cooking!More

Met a friend for a drink and shared an appetizer - eggplant rollatini. Very nicely done and well prepared. Would definitely return for dinner.

We had a delightful evening here with friends last Friday night. We were seated at a table for four opposite the bar. It seemed a cozy choice, with banquet seating on one side and a wall of wine bottles flanking it. We settled in and...began to catch up. Our mature and professional waiter arrived, without introduction (“ Hi! I’m Jason and I’ll be your server tonight!” always impresses me as too much information), dropped off our menus, and took our drink orders. We were off to a good start. About ten minutes into our evening, the racket from the cleaned wine glasses being placed in the overhead rack of the bar became an annoyance. Later, the noise from the kitchen would add to that, and finally, towards the end of our evening, the threesome seated at the bar, awaiting our table, and not subtly, with each of them turning around repeatedly to see if we were wrapping things up, made me swear never again for our “cozy” table. We will opt instead for the back room, removed from all the noise and distractions of the middle dining room. Nevertheless, our dinner was enjoyable. I started with the mini eggplant parmigiana appetizer. Here it is light and delicious, not smothered in sauce so as to drown out the flavor of the eggplant. Handsome Companion chose the Polpette di Pollo, three scrumptious chicken meatballs in tomato sauce. For a main course, I had the meatloaf, which is done with provolone and cotto. It was three rounds of meatloaf on the plate, almost like flat meatballs, served piping hot and delicious. I had it with a side of broccoli, done with garlic and oil and cooked perfectly. H. C. had the Rigatoni Bolognese. It was thick, rich and delicious. Goes to show you that good food, good company, and lively conversation can overcome a lot.More

This was our first visit to the Pound Ridge area for dining. We were looking forward to dining at Di Nardo's as there are not many restaurants in Pound Ridge and I love Italian food. Driving up to it, I was able to find parking...in the back and found the side entrance to restaurant convenient. We walked into the pizzeria section, which was fine as we found the nice dining room to the left and a very small bar area. The staff was friendly and attentive. The menu looked great with plenty of variety. We had to request a wine list which only had five wines by the glass. The Chianti we ordered was good. I was disappointed with the plate presentations and portion sizes for what we were charged. The food tasted average for an Italian restaurant. The presentation of my veal scallopini looked like it came out of a pizza oven on a narrow rectangle plate. All I saw was melted cheese.More

People who read my reviews see that I tend to score establishments high, mainly because I have checked them out beforehand on TripAdvisor - I am rarely disappointed! Not so with Di Nardo's in Pound Ridge. My wife and I had a reservation for the...Wednesday before Thanksgiving and arrived on time. The restaurant was obviously filling up quickly, but we were given a decent table and the server took our order promptly. We each ordered only a first course (primi pasta). We had specifically asked the server if a primi course would be enough for a moderate dinner - he assured us it would be. Then we waited - and waited - and waited. I think it was about 45 minutes later that our dishes finally arrived (the server was obviously embarrassed since he kept asking if we wanted more bread - and then kept telling us how soon our meals would arrive)! They obviously can seat more people than they can handle efficiently. When they arrived, my wife's order of rigatoni with swordfish and eggplant overwhelmed the large plate! It was very generous and my wife said very good. On the other hand, my same-sized plate of crepes with ricotta and spinach filling arrived with two small crepes (!), which covered about 25% of the plate! It was tiny as an appetizer, not to mention the primi pasta course we had been assured would be sufficient. Our server never came to the table to ask if everything was all right, which by itself is poor form. So when he finally arrived to clear the plates, I mentioned to him that I was disappointed in the volume of food in my course. He just stared at me - no apology, no comment, nothing. So we paid our bill and when we left, I found the maître' d, and quietly and politely asked for the manager, and I was told he wasn't available. I then shared my disappointment with him and got the same, no comment, no apology stare that I received from the server. By the way, a comment card was included with the bill, and I wrote down the same comment - along with my local phone number. In over a week, I have had no response, so it's apparent that the whole staff could care less about a disappointed customer. The prices are steeper here than other similar Italian restaurants in the area, so I would recommend Bacio's in Cross River or Le Fontane in Katonah for an excellent meal with generous portions and a lower prices. BTW, I rated Di Nardo's two stars because the crepes were quite good - otherwise it would have been one star, which I have almost never used! In summary, a restaurant should be rated on how it handles comments from customers as well as its food. Di Nardo's surely missed on this one.More

Have not been for several years. Thought we would give Di Nardo’s another shot. Ordered simple takeout. Spaghetti and meatballs, salad and pasta fagioli etc. Food was average, portions are small and bit pricey for what you get. Better alternatives in area. The search continues.

Love, love, love the pizza. Much better than the other place in town. Friendly, family-run business with consistently excellent food whether you are just in the mood for pizza or you want a fine-dining experience in the back of the restaurant. Takeout is good too!

Try their fusilli with shrimp and crabmeat in just the right amount of a white sauce. Although it was too light on the crabmeat, it was a very tasty dish. Very minor point: The bread offered in their breadbasket was forgettable. Hopefully they will improve...that. Nice pizza selections. Pie was tasty. Service was friendly.More
