Probably one of the best restaurants in Dutchess County. Always an interesting selection. The tampinade is to die for served with fresh bread. Great fish and other treats. This should be on the top of everyone's list of places to eat.

I've had the chance to dine at The Artist's Palate several times since moving to Poughkeepsie earlier this year and enjoyed each visit. The ambiance is modern without being cold or clinical. The service on each visit was excellent with an attentive and helpful wait staff ready to provide details descriptions of the menu items and how each is prepared.... More

This was my first to the Artist Palate and I was pleasantly surprise. A friend had suggested it as they have been there before. The food was great and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

My eldest son and some friends went here for dinner. They loved it. Some very Musial menu choices. A young couple owns it and I think they attended CIA in Hyde Park, NY.

We've dined here several times in the past, although not recently, but with out-of-town guests on a Monday night decided to introduce them to Artist's Palate. They were wowed, as were we; it was one of the best, if not THE best, meals I've had here since we first started coming here eight years ago. The couple we brought are... More

I live in Poughkeepsie so I have been here several times. If you are staying downtown and don't want to drive definitely try this restaurant. It is on par with a Manhattan Restaurant.

Fantastic restaurant in otherwise drab, dreary downtown Poughkeepsie. I went here with my fiancée when we stayed over for a night in Poughkeepsie while traveling home from vacation. She had bluefish and I had the summer risotto with vegetables - both were superb. The restaurant has an very pleasant ambience - nice and quiet, with lovely art hanging on the... More

This is a top notch restaurant in a sort of funky urban neighborhood and a place I would highly recommend (and this is from someone used to eating in Brownstone Brooklyn). Beautiful contemporary decor, localized menu with fresh ingredients, very contemporary American fine food (the chef is creative, but does not go to the extremes), excellent service---just a very comfortable... We stopped for lunch after reading the reviews from TA. It certainly met our expectations. We started off ordering a Beetnik cocktail because I couldn't resist trying it. I think it included in house made beet vodka, ginger and fizzy water. When tasting it started with heavy ginger flavor but after mixing and letting the flavors meld it had a... More

Description
A 70 seat American-Fusion Restaurant, the only one in the area using truly local ingredients and changes thier menu every two weeks based on the availability of products. Both the beer menu and wine list are extensive and reasonable. As well one of the only restaurants that say if we don't have we will do our best to get it for your reservation.
