Chef Joel and his staff continuously go above and beyond for guests. This was not the first time and won't be the last time we visit. Even for a quick visit, my jingle bell scallop meal was outstanding, and my daughter gave her pizza a 20 out of 10.

Had Christmas Eve dinner. Restaurant was VERY busy. But that didn't slow down the service or affect (effect?) the quality of the food. Fried Calamari appetizer was excellent. Light crispy batter on perfectly textured rings & legs. Serving size just right for two people to share. Chicken Marsala and Chicken Parm dinners. Both were excellent. Chicken was fresh, gravy's were... More

Me and the family decided to eat dinner here the night before Thanksgiving and everything was pretty good. I had pizza which you can only order a small in the dinning area (which I didn't like) and it was okay. The fried mozzarella was pretty tasty. The bread they give you before you food comes out was good as well.... More

We love this restaurant. Our dinner was perfect from start to finish! Appetizers were delicious, especially the Skillet Shrimp! The Chicken Marsala was so tender and the Eggplant Rollatini was mouth watering. We couldn't have chosen a better pasta than Pasta Amici's! The "special" dessert was amazing! Amici's is definitely a fine place to dine. Very convenient to both sides... More

I had a salmon special that came with asparagus, the salmon was cooked perfect, and the tiny bit of flavor from the sauce left me wanting more! My husband had a pasta dish that he loved, I can't recall the name of it but it had eggplant, and Mozz. My son had the mac & cheese, he was disappointed because... More

My family and I ate there today for lunch as a quick stop on our way home after a train ride up from NYC. It's in walking distance to the train station. The service was friendly and quick. We split a large pepperoni pizza. It tasted great and the whole meal came to about $20. Kathleen was our waitress and... More

Dining out with the family always meant a wide range of opinions and a tough task pleasing everyone. Thankfully, tonight we discovered Amicis Italian Restaurant in Poughkeepsie. Everyone unanimously agreed their meal was cooked to perfection-whether it was chicken piccata, chicken fettuccini alfredo, or steak marsala --100% satisfaction! Wonderfully delicious! Definitely well worth the drive and a return visit.

Went to Amici's Restaurant in Poughkeepsie last month with friends who are retired from my job. The restaurant was attractive and clean. I had eggplant parm., as I always do at Italian restaurants, and it was excellent. Fresh made and moist with a delicious saue. Others had fish, salads and pasta. From what I heard at our table, everything was... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant last weekend. I wrote a negative review based on the dissatisfaction I had regarding the service that night. I had a call from the owner Joel who apologized for our dissatisfaction. My husband and I have been eating at this restaurant since we moved to the area two years ago and have never... More

I can't say enough good things about this place. Hands down, the best Italian food in the area. Not only is the food wonderful, but it has a great ambiance and the service is wonderful every time I go. I was told the Owner/Chef Joel is a graduate of the Culinary Institute. I must say it sure shows in the... More
