We stopped for lunch on our way back from Vermont about 2:00 on a Sunday and the place was full. Service was fast and the food was excellent. I like hot meatloaf sandwiches and was not disappointed with their offering. They had raspberry pie for...More

On our way to Canada we stopped off to fill the tank and look for a place to eat. Another customer recommended going to Black Bear just off exit 26. Turns out to be a longtime restaurant, part diner, part 70's leftovers, but the food...More

Visited the Bear for breakfast. It's hard to describe because it felt like you stepped into a place you belonged. There were 4 local older gentlemen drinking their coffee and talking about normal daily life. The waitress was very friendly. The group conversed with me...More

Get some real local flavor by visiting the Black Bear Inn. It's been around for 70+ years and it show a little age, but atmosphere is worth it. Beer is cold and burger good.

Very basic. Food is marginal and not real tasty or served well. A real local place. Resturant area is well separated from the tavern. Bit of a hangout at night. Seem to be 'liked' by locals for it's convenience.

Casual atmosphere for hanging out with friends in the evening. Breakfast is good, haven't been for lunch.

Stopped in for lunch after our trip to Stone Bridge. Food was fine - service was lousy. Waitress with glasses and multi-colored hair seemed put upon to have to work that day. Maybe she should have stayed home. Other wait staff very amiable.

Right off Northway. Typical roadhouse, fair price and good service. Local tavern has separate entrance.
