If you are looking for out of this world food with a Latin theme, look no further than Sonora. Chef Palamino is awesome both as a cook and as a host. There are so many great things on the menu from table-made guacamole, to awesome...More

Wow - what a great little spot for incredible food. The trickier dishes, such as Mexico-Camarones Y Vieras, are not as well prepared mid-week. But this dish in particular is heavenly on the weekends.

Our favorite place for a great meal. The Friday evening happy hour menu in the bar is a great casual evening.

The food is excellent. It is a good place to meet with friends over dinner. Not a great place to bring younger kids because of adult atmosphere and tables close to each other.

This was such a nice evening from start to finish. First, I love the decor. It put me in the perfect frame of mind. Second, we each had a mojito to start, and it was excellent. I do suggest that the restaurant shop have draft...More

Nice atmosphere in this popular Latin/South American restaurant. Lots of different and interesting choices from Tapas to main courses. The guac is great and the grilled Argentine meat platter was also very good but the sauces could have been more flavorful. The service was very...More

Great venue and excellent service. Great drink menu with many unique cocktails. Good wine list. Excellent food. Loved the homemade guacamole. Churros for dessert were excellent but best to share.

There were four in our group and we all ended up trying each other's food. We started with guacamole with fresh tortilla chips. Chips and warm and the guacamole was made tableside. It was so good. I had the Tacos De Quinoa with a side...More

Sonora is one of the few places I've been where I want to try everything on the menu. The food is spectacular, the location elegant. The cuisine is assorted Latin American, not Mexican. One evening we were there they had a guitarist playing classical arrangements...More

Since Rafael Palomino—Sonora’s Executive Chef and Proprietor—opened the doors to this, his flagship Latin-fusion restaurant, he has received accolades from a broad customer base, including an “Excellent” from the New York Times. This creative, Colombian-born (Queens-raised) chef and author of five cookbooks, has since opened 8 more restaurants that span three states (New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania). Sonora, like Palomino’s other restaurants, boasts excellent service and mouth-watering dishes, paired with an extensive wine list and cocktail offerings. In addition to impeccable service and delicious dishes, Sonora’s two-story home offers guests the possibility of having a custom-designed and catered on-site private party, for any occasion, from 12 to 110 people.
