Port Chester has become a Latin food mecca over the past decade, but there's still some Italian restaurants worth going to, most especially Mario Batali's re-make of Tarry Lodge, which I recall from the 1970s mainly for its over-the-top cheese pizzas. That was good in its own way, but Batali's transformation of the menu is at another level entirely. I... More

This was our first visit and we look forward to returning when we travel back to the area. The service staff was extremely well versed on the menu and very attentive. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced as were the craft beers on hand. Service was paced perfectly and the food was outstanding. Save room for desserts, they... More

We were seated on the ground floor not far from the entry door. It's a Mario Batali restaurant so don't ask for any changes to the menu. The kitchen won't do it. But the choices are delicious so you'll find something on the menu you like. The wine we chose was delicious but the Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned my husband... More

Always enjoy the is restaurant. Bartender us excellent. Food very good. Nice place to meet friends, escape from cooking at home, or family get together.

We came with the Richardson's on the way back from Hobart. It was a long 6 hour ride home and we wanted something nice. We had a 4 cheese pizza and it was quite good. Perfectly thin. We had the arrugula salad. That was excellent. Dinners were very good. Spilt the Carbonara and bolognaise with Kathy Tom had the linguine... More

Maybe I'm too old but this place is just too loud. We sat at the bar, had great pizza and good wine by the glass but the bar scene with people in and out smoking cigarettes was not pleasant.

Made reservations for 6:30 on a Friday night. We were seated immediately. I asked for a quiet table which we got. We knew it was going to be expensive but were celebrating a special occasion so were prepared for the bill. But $9 for a draft Ommegang beer was excessive. The pasta was cooked al dente which was fine for... More

When it comes to the quality of food Tarry Lodge is hands down one of the best restaurants in Westchester county and we are frequent visitors. The antipasti and primi are really in par with any good trattoria in Italy. We favor the bar area which is slightly more casual with the same food menu. The wine list is very... More

I've given this place so many tries over the years, and I've had maybe 2 good experiences. WE ARE ABSOLUTELY DONE! We literally just got home from Tarry Lodge. If you want to be ignored and watch the service staff hang out and socialize with each other, this is your place. They could care less that you are a customer... More

When you arrive the staff is all over you and then it goes away. Four of us had dinner there this past Friday night. It was not crowded at all. Sat down & we were asked what kind of water we wanted. Waiter came & took drink order. Bread was brought over. We had our water glasses filled once. We... More
