We celebrated our 10 anniversary at Blue Hill. The grounds are beautiful. The food was extremely fresh and delicious. They just keep on coming out with plates and plates of food that are fresh, delicious and thoughtful. The only downside was the staff was really cold. From the receptionist, to the bar tender, to the 10 or so waiters that... More

There is quite a price tag for this place. For two people, with only one cocktail each, the bill, after taxes and tip, came to $700! Is any meal worth that kind of price tag? I’m still not sure but I think Blue Hill comes really close. They put so much thought and effort into making great tasting and nutritious... More

More than 20 courses and 3 1/2 hours later we walked out of the most memorable, once-in-a-lifetime culinary experience we've ever had. We discovered this unique restaurant and its inspiring chef Dan Barber by watching Netflix' Chef's Table and are fortunate to have been able to visit and experience it first hand. Dan and his team truly redefine your attitude... More

I'm not sure it's even necessary to give this place a review - you aren't going to accidentally stumble on it, and if you are thinking about eating here then you know all about it. Nonetheless, will say that this was the best eating experience I've ever had in my life. Every single part of it was fantastic, including service,... More

This isn't a restaurant. It's a symphony for your mouth. You will walk away with a hundred new taste experiences. My nephew says we got 29 courses. I didn't count. It's an experience. Something you need not do often, but must do atlesst once. Prices are steep. About $250 per person, for just the food. A bit of wine, some... More

Lots to gripe about -- corkage is $90 a bottle -- although the winelist is extensive and rewards careful shopping. There is no menu, just the cutesy "the multi-taste Grazing, Rooting, Pecking menu featuring the best offerings from the field and market." Pricing: $238 per guest exclusive of beverage, tax and gratuity. All granted, but my two meals here were... More

This was our second visit to the restaurant. Last year we felt it was magical, from the food to the service to the experience. Last night I felt it was long, boring and unexceptional. First, I really don't want to sit for over 3 hours for a meal. After a while, it just felt endless....and I just wanted to get... More

My son and daughter-in-law had reservations for July 6th. They were going to cancel the reservation because they were about to close on a house in CA. My comment was, "Don't you dare!". Blue Hill was able to expand the sitting to five people. Coming from Alaska, the restaurant had been on my bucket list for several years. I have... More
