Been here a few times in the past couple years. This is really great Japanese cuisine and sushi. Never been disappointed, and enjoyed our recent visit. On busy nights make a reservation - the place is small, and does not have any good place to wait if the sushi bar is filled. Considering the quality of the food, I think it is a good value.

Sashimi at its best

Probably the best in westchester and the freshest. Dishes are alway prepared with care, wonderful staff wanting the best experience for you. An incredible take-out business along with in restaurant seating. Try it, you be amazed by some of their dishes.

A must stop

Delicious fresh sashimi and sushi! Stopped after a soccer game in the city on our way back to Connecticut. Friendly staff, fast service, and scrumptious food!

Bad Service and Lying Receptionist

Not a fun of its service. Even if you reeived a notification that the order is ready for pickup, I stilled waited 40 minutes and received incorrect order. Worse case is the receptionist responsible for take-out lies about the status of the order.

Best sushi in northern Westchester!

I can't believe I went so long without eating there. It is a little small, but the food is top notch. Even the sushi I don't really like other places is so fresh and delicious here!

Lots of very tasty apps . They were delicious In fact . Sushi was also very good . Their hot sake as well as the cold varieties were excellent . Parking can be done in the supermarket across the street.

Fab-glam serendipity. Never heard of Dai Sushi—on road trip from VT. Referred by Siri, resulting from sushi hunger-pangs. Exceedingly (and pleasantly) surprised in Pleasantville! Place was packed—squeezed into the sushi bar. Ordered yellowtail and scallion, sake (and sake!), uni and nato. All succulent and super fresh (with notable presentation). The order was rapid with smiles from all four sushi chefs—and the wait staff. And the price was right! Will definitely be back on our next road-trip via the Saw Mill.

Maybe an off night?

We weren’t surprised when we walked in to see the restaurant packed given all the rave reviews. But then we immediately noticed that half the people were waiting to pay, the other half waiting for food. It appeared that no one was actually eating! 4 Sushi chefs yet no sushi. It looked like there was an upstairs and a large takeout business so perhaps that caused the slow down. We waited a very long time to be served. The rolls were nicely presented and we had never tried dark Sapporo beer, which was interesting. But the plain Sushi, which is what we use to judge the quality of the fish, was just average and in the end, we found it to be somewhat pricey compared to other sushi restaurants in the county. We left disappointed and don’t expect to go back anytime soon.

Hands Down the Best Sushi in the Area

I'm reluctant to post this review because it means that Dai Sushi might get busier which means longer waits for me. This place has the best, freshest and truest to form sushi in the area. the others do not even compare.

A Bit of Tokyo in Pleasantville

Excellent food, whether it's sushi, hot kitchen items, appetizers, etc., all served fresh and attractively presented. Interior decor is reminiscent of dining in Japan according to friends who have been there. Service is attentive, delicious Miso Soup, much better than typically served at other Japanese restaurants. if you like sushi, sashimi, rolls, etc. give this place a try- you will really enjoy it!
