I ordered the quesadilla with chicken. No taste. No salsa. Not your standard quesadilla since it had feta cheese which doesn't melt. Disappointing. The iced tea was really bad. Just a bad choice off the menu I guess. Friends burger and fries looked good. Waiter...was good. Cool little dive bar. Probably a good place to drink. Maybe the pizza or wings. Worth a try.More

We stopped here based on reviews. It is clear that people who live here really enjoy Mickey's and visitors like us will too! Service was quick in a very busy setting. We enjoyed bisque and sweet potato fries which were both wonderful. Parking is directly...across the street in what may be a car sale lot, but that's where everyone parks - took us a few minutes to figure that out. Definitely worth a stop, probably without kids, as it's noisy and crowded. Then again, just depends on what you like. We would definitely come again!More

Visiting from out of State and didn't want to eat at a chain restaurant near my hotel. I had a local IPA at the bar and I watched the last few innings of the baseball game while I waited for my to-go order. I had...been craving pasta. I narrowed down my choices to eggplant parm or chicken marsala. I asked the waitress/bartender which she would recommend. She recommended the chicken marsala. The beer was excellent. The Red Sox won and I kicked up a friendly conversation with a local. I can't say anything positive about the chicken marsala though. The chicken was dry and lacked any seasoning. The sauce was not flavorful at all. Great place to have a beer and watch a game, but would not recommend planning to have dinner here.More

Visiting the area for our yearly Fall jaunt. Picked Mickey's due to TA reviews and local vibe. This is a fun little place! We ate in the bar area, lots of friendly folks; good food and service. I had the Antipasto salad, which was huge...and full of delicious meats and cheeses. The French onion soup was hot with lots of cheese and a rich broth; perfect! My husband got a Stromboli which he enjoyed a lot. We share a brownie with ice cream; common dessert but the brownie was fudgy and delish. Overall, a very good meal in a fun place. Give it a go!More

Better than the ratings! This restaurant is VERY UNDERRATED. A wide selection, great staff, EXCELLENT FOOD, real nice bar, sweet dining room, etc. Don’t miss this place. I frequent the place 10-12 times per year.

Locals love Mickey’s. Staple of our big town/very small city for many years- back to the 1950s-60s. Something for everyone- a 21+ bar area separate from restaurant, separate entrance. Always excellent food, best steak in town- I love the steak au poivre. It’s Plattsburgh’s “Cheers”...and the bartenders Glen and Pat always know what you want and get it to you right away.More

We were in town this July 4th and have plans to go for dinner somewhere else. Every restaurant we planned to go was closed. On our way back to the hotel we found a light on at Mickey's. We were hungry and decided to give...it a try. What a great surprise to find a welcoming staff and great food. We decided to come back every night. Between the four of us we tried almost half of their menu, everything was wonderful! From the tips tenderloin and the stuffed haddock to the pasta dishes and hamburgers, oh myMore

It's a neighborhood place, friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere. The food is good Italian staples. I especially like the lingquini with white clam sauce and lasagna to die for. Great dessert menu as well. Good prices. Easy parking.

Mickey's is under new ownership but the great staff remains the same. Go for dinner or apps and bar food. I recommend the thin crust pizza or the Montreal steak dinner, however they also offer great specials.

First the good. Great service and great waitresses. Maybe this food is successful to many people who frequent this place, but it is not fine dining. We had about 7 different dishes, and they were all bland. If you like salt and pepper then you...will love the food here. If i;m not eating fast food, i want a little complexity.. The dishes had little taste and nothing made me every want to return for more. In addition to that , the presentation of a few dishes were lacking. I had a veal dish. Normally, a restaurant will give you a slice of meat, with a light mushroom sauce with pasta on the side. With this dish, you get a bowl of pasta with pieces of meat mixed in with the sauce and mushrooms. I just got bored half way through the dish.. a thick brown sauce which was OK but lacking in flavor.. Maybe herbs and spices ? maybe more of them ? such a nice restaurant should take more pride in their recipes. All in all a pleasant place and your tummy will be happy. maybe not your mouth. if you want a tastily meal.. look elsewhereMore

I arrived early on a Saturday and I have been here before. There was a fairly empty resaturant with very few tables taken. They placed me at a small table which is OK because I was alone BUT they insisted sitting at a certain seat...so I didn't block another booth. The seat was situated in front of the kitchen SO I was constantly bothered by every waitress under the sun hitting me from behind. I ordered a salad to start off with the house Italian dressing. When your salad comes NOT even cool, you known you're NOT in for a good experience. I had barely gotten through a third of my salad when the entree came. It's like they COULDN'T wait to get me out of there. The veal parmigiana was on the soggy side with the cultlet tasting kinda bland. I have NO idea what sort of sauce was on the pasta but it really didn't go with the meal. I would've preferred the marinara that came with the veal because at least that tasted legitimate. I ONLY finished half of my meal because I lost my appetite quickly SO I asked for everything to be boxed up. Then they just took my salad and threw it away. I really asked what the waitress wa doing when I said I wanted everything and she looked at me like ai was ridiculous then said she didn't understand what I said. Trust me the rating would have been ONE had she NOT adjusted the bill after what I was put through. I had come here another time and the seafood pasta was pretty LAME. I've NEVER had a Frutti di Mare that came in a clam sauce which wasn't that good anyway. DON'T come as a single diner because you WON'T be treated properly. I WON'T be back.More

In the North Country, if you have been operating for 20-30 years, there's a reason--- it's because you offer a quality product at a reasonable price. And that describes Mickey's. The food is excellent, the service is superb, and if you just want to have...a cocktail at the bar, there are plenty of seats. I have eaten here a number of times, and I don't think I ever ordered off the menu, because their daily specials are so good. They have plenty of free parking, and the establishment is neat as a pin. The final word is--this where the locals eat. Enough said!!More
