We stayed at the Cairo Catskills Getaway Houses, and on the way toward Sunset Rock (a good hike location), we stopped here for some hiking snacks and Catskill gifts. There were a variety of Vegan, vegetarian, Gluten-free, and milk options! There is a small outdoor dining area, you only order outside, you can't browse in the store at this time. I'd suggest stopping here before your hike as they close at 5pm, depending on the day!

We stayed in a tree house through AirBNB in Palenville and the host told us about this general store for breakfast. The coffee was very good as well as the Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. I loved their vanilla crumb cupcake. Very cute store with grocery items and some interesting household items and gifts. Not a lot of souvenirs but did have to Catskill shirts $$$. I would recommend stopping in and visit if in the area.

Great locally-sourced sandwiches - the LaBelle Panino features
prosciutto, fig spread, goat cheese & arugula
on a ciabatta and is very tasty. It's a very busy spot on a Sunday morning, which is a blessing and a curse. We did wait an extra long time for our five sandwiches, and when we got to the hotel, there were only four (five on the receipt.) My bad for not going through the bag, but we needed to get back in time to check out. Beautiful historic building, and outdoor seating.

Any time I am within thirty miles of Palenville, I make sure to hit Circle W General Store. Even better, I have convinced my family that this store is worth the detour and they are onboard as well.
After completing the Tour of the Catskills, I always stock up for the drive home at Circle W. Their sandwiches hit the spot. Furthermore, I raid the refrigerator for cold drinks for the long drive. I even grab some Catskills Brewing four packs for the post-drive downtime.
Do yourself a favor and eat on the patio next to the Warren Zevon quote. There is also a cool little barn a little farther back that has tables if the weather is not cooperating.
Definitely stop here for food. They have expanded for better accommodations. They do not have a public restroom so plan accordingly. Otherwise, this place approaches perfection.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t go inside because I visited during the pandemic. Luckily, they were open for takeout and they have a few tables to sit outside. During my visit I ate here several times. Everything was delicious. I had sandwiches, baked goods, cookies and got myself a nice little mug. Definitely a must place to eat.

Lovely. Great local products, excellent sandwiches, offering picnic tables, live music, nice people.
We were fortunate enough to be walking distance from Circle W during our stay.

This is a local staple to neighbors of Palenville, catskill, and beyond! The freshly made sandwiches are consistently great.
The owner of Circle W is always warm and hospitable creating a charming place for your visit!

Great sandwiches! Quick and easy pick-up. The labelle sandwich with prosciutto was fantastic. The grilled cheese got two thumbs up. The ham and cheddar was ok; a bit too spicy for my taste.

This new general store on Main Street in downtown Catskill makes perfect sandwiches. My favorite is Labelle - prosciutto, goat cheese and arugula - served warm and oh so good. Good coffee and small selection of baked sweets. Good vibe where regulars and visitors come together over a great sandwich.

My daughter, husband and I went for a hike at Kaaterskill Falls. On the way we stopped at the Circle W General Store for lunch. What a great find! We all got the Fernwood..tomato, mozzarella and pesto panini.. delicious. We will definitely be back.

We never minded the 10 mile jaunt to Palenville, but when the Circle W opened up a shop in Catskill we we’re thrilled!
Now the same great sandwiches are available here!
Their comfort food portions and twists on popular favorites never disappoint!

CIRCLE W serves the best sandwiches and salads in the Catskills region. And, they also sell a lot of nice things in their shop. Organic nuts, local granola, bars, drinks... A Great to stock up on sustainable/organic items and snacks. I love the hummus sandwich served as a bowl. YUM! and, the servings are really huge. Everyone I've asked who's been here love it. You won't go wrong. Good for vegetarian and vegan options too . .

This is a quaint country store where you can shop for some eclectic items while you wait for your delicious breakfast or lunch to be made. You can eat in or take out. It has a real country vibe with hometown cooking made just right. The sandwiches are the best and we have some favorites including the Reuben and the tannery. They also have some great homemade desserts. We have made this a regular part of our trips to Palenville and even bought some sweatshirts and mugs to remind us of this place all year long!
