Disappointed. Saw great TA reviews and was excited about our visit. Waited about 15 mins to receive water and menus. Waited another 40 minutes for our salads. Received our entrees another 40 minutes later. When we inquired about when meals were coming, we were told...they “space things out for a fine dining experience.” Had that been true for neighboring tables that arrived after us and received meals long before us, that might have been an acceptable response. (I realize that many restaurants are understaffed right now, but when other tables arrive after us and are finished eating and leaving before our table gets served, it’s not alright.). My friend’s chicken sandwich was dry and tasteless- the look of the cheese and dryness of chicken suggested either reheating or extended time under a heat lamp. The Prime Rib was excellent, as was Chicken Cordon Blue. When bills arrived, the cost of the chicken sandwich was removed and we realized the waitress had misquoted the price of the Prime Rib special - $4 more than we were told it was. When asked about the price difference, she again told us the incorrect price and then said, “I guess it’s whatever price the computer charged,” with no attempt to rectify the situation. Overall, three of the four meals we ordered were excellent/good; however poor service and ambivalence regarding our concerns will not warrant a return visit.More

Great food with a family atmosphere. Our waitress was very attentive and the food came to the table at perfect times and hot.

Staying in a VRBO for a couple of nights and with no idea of where I might eat, I opted to order in from Jackson’s which is a few minutes walk from my base. I ordered and arrived at the allotted time with my tiny...dog in arms. The lady in charge was first perturbed by the dog (none allowed) but once she knew I had ordered food to collect she was swift and efficient in delivering the order and did not ask me to stand outside despite my offering. The good (blackened scallops, duck with a cider glaze and perfectly sweet cooked veggies, a side of sweet potato fries and a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake served two of us perfectly (not me and the dog, me and my husband!). I highly recommend this restaurant and the next time we visit (which we will) we will be back. Thank you so much for perfect service and a perfect mealMore

I went in to Jackson's to get takeout. An hour later I finally got my food and there was almost nobody in the restaurant. I stood at the front door for 15 minutes before someone took my order. They saw me but ignored me. Then...they told me it would be 15-20 minutes for the food. No problem, as I had not called ahead. 35 minutes later they finally had my food. I asked for utensils and they put two spoons into the bag, no forks, no knives. I had a hamburger without the bun, which is a bit difficult to eat with a spoon. My wife had fish and that too is a bit difficult to eat with a spoon. The servers did not really seem to care too much about what they were doing. One of them came up to me while I was waiting to have my order taken, acknowledged me, and then seated the couple behind me and never came back. The food was very good; compliments to the chef. Even then my hamburger was supposed to have BBQ sauce and there was a dab on the bun, which I ordered on the side, but none on the hamburger. Good thing I asked for tartar sauce for the fish because they would not have included it otherwise. Attention to detail is not the strong suit of this establishment. Nevertheless, I would recommend it if you have time and don't mind so-so service and especially if you eat in. The food is tasty, the portions are good, and it is overall a pleasant place to eat. They did not have packets of salt but they did provide ketchup is a small condiment container. There was hand sanitizer at the door when I came in and the tables were appropriately spaced. They did not have any outdoor seating.More

Thank you for your review. If you stopped in in the last few days, we were recovering from the storm. No POS machine, internet nor phone. Which cause lots of confusion and problems. A lot of people were still out of power, which makes us...More

We were a party of 4 in search of new places to visit. The restaurant itself is very charming. A mask is required to enter due to COVID. We both had the Garrett Burger: blackened burger, cheddar cheese, bacon and a cucumber jalapeño ranch sauce....The burger was very moist with a little pink, just as I ordered it. The side salad was lovely: fresh veggies galore. Our server Jayme was delightful and very attentive. We will be back!More

This was our 3rd trip there in a year. We have a semi long distance relationship and this was a place we found online that was roughly an hour's drive for each of us. It is rustic and old, but well kept and the food...is great and there is a wide variety for just about anyone. I had veal parm and she had the salmon. Both of them were excellent. The salads that came with the meal were larger than expected. There was a nice reasonably priced wine list and the wait staff could not have been better. We finished off with 2 deserts that we shared. The caramel apple crisp and the Italian lemon cake dish were both excellent. We each had our favorite, but enjoyed both of them. The overall meal was very reasonably priced.More

Stopped in for a late bite after a long day. Kim at the bar couldn’t have been more welcoming. Was planning a burger (I’m the “9:30 Burger Guy”) but the stuffed chicken special caught my eye...excellent! Thanks for an excellent meal and a warm welcome!...Look forward to returning!More

This place was a very pleasant break on our road trip up to Niagara. Food was good but the service was incredible! And the locals were very helpful in giving us directions to avoid icy roads in order to get back to the turnpike. Loved...it here and will return! (At some point, we live 3 hours away)More
