Closed for over two years. Now called Captains Galley, BUT, there is not a liquor license, (no beer, wine, or liquor). It’s also for sale.

Had lunch there with my wife today, waited 15 minutes to get our order taken. I ordered a Rueben sandwich , no out, ok I’ll have a fish sandwich, oh we’re out of that too, all fish of any kind. So I got a hamburg...and fries and my wife ordered parm wings. After waiting 1 hour we asked about our order and was told it would be right out. Well time went on, we waited 2 hours for our food. The last reason for it being late was the owner through it out!? He thought we were one of the groups that left, at least 6 tables left because they were tired of waiting for their food. One table got free drinks, not us, but when they finally got there order it was wrong. We also had to ask repeatedly for drink refills. This place is a joke, food is way over priced and the kitchen doesn’t have a clue. The waitresses did nothing but apologies to everyone, the owner needs to fire himself. Do yourself a favor Don’t go there.More

We stopped in while I was in the area for business. I had a greek chicken wrap & onion rings, my wife, a hot roast beef sandwich & fries w/gravy. The place was clean & friendly and the food was terrific. The prices were right....I would go back if I get to the area again. It was not very busy at noon on a Friday and like I said "the staff was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious".More

We have eaten here in the past. This time lets just say it was not what I remember. From the road it looked busy, but when we went inside they had a number of open tables. The sign at the front (or the rear) of...the restaurant said seat yourself. What the sign should have said please seat yourself, grab a menu and utensils. We must have waited 15 minutes before anyone greeted us. Once they greeted us it was another 10 minutes before we received our drinks. Our group of 4 ordered and it took another 20 minutes or so to get our food. Mine and my buddies burger was overcooked and cold. The fries were cold and no seasoning. The chicken sandwich that was ordered was dry and overcooked and we didn't even get the last order until we were almost finished. In the past I remember the food being tasty and hot. I understand that this is a seasonal area. Hopefully next year will be different.More

The steak was to my liking, with a side of mashed potatoes and delicious gravy. Haven't seen fried pickles in a long time. Had to order those.

The Lighthouse Grill seemed to be the only full service restaurant in Olcott on a Wednesday afternoon.Only about 25% full and we were seated right away.My wife ordered the grilled chicken salad and said it was good, however, looking forward to the beef on weck I...was disappointed with the amount of fat and the thickness of the beef.I have never had one like that and could only eat about half the beef. The restaurant is old school 1960's and not a bad place, just a little sprucing up would do wonders and correct the beef on weck problem. The one I had at Wagner's in Lockport was outstanding.More

We were going on the wine tour in the area. The lady at a local winery suggested this restaurant and a few dishes. My husband got the Greek wrap and onion rings like lady at the winey suggested. The onion rings were fantastic. The wrap...was really good but chicken extremely dry. I had the Pittsburgh salad. The lettuce and tomatoes were super fresh. The chicken also was extremely dry. :( Plus the fries were extremely salty! The waitress was not very attentive. If my water glass is empty I expect it to be filled up especially since there was not many people in the restaurant. Also she never asked how our food was. When she came back, it was to only give us our check when we my husband had finished his meal. I was still eating and had to ask for more water. (Plus the clothes the waitresses were wearing I did not feel they were work appropriate.) The man who was cleaning tables did greet us when we came in and when we were leaving thanked us for coming. We thought that was nice. Typical bar/grill restaurant. Food was good, service not so much.More

Wife and I stopped for dinner since was close by our accommodations. That was a mistake. Twenty minutes after my order was placed, waitress returned to our table and stated "they were out of fish" and laughed nervously. Changed order to a burger. Another twenty...five minutes and order finally arrives. Food was OKAY, but a little two pricey to suit me. Wife got a baked potato that was slighty larger than an egg. Was totally dried out, too. Waitress did apologize but my mind was already set. Place could use a lot of clean up. Basically a dive. Would not recommend to friends or family and will not go again during our visit. If you want better, travel south to Newfane.More

On a road trip to buy some corn and produce we decided to stop for lunch. We aren't McDonalds fans and wondered if we would find some decent chow in the small town of Olcott. The Lighthouse is a typical bar and restaurant nothing fancy,...but the food was plentiful and tasty. I would come back.More
