The ferry unloaded and a whole hoard of us shuffled over to Rachel's for brunch. The restaurant is tiny, but the tables move quickly. We were a party of 2 and a party of 5 came in right behind us. One of the larger tables...had just cleared out. The host went to check on some other tables and came to us to ask if it was okay for him to give the large table to the party of 5. We said absolutely! We were on vacation and in no rush. He explained that 2 other tables were getting their checks now and he'd be able to seat us shortly. He said if he thought we'd have to wait 20 minutes longer, he wouldn't have even asked - he would have just seated us at the large table. We appreciate that! Our waitresses were very friendly and genuinely happy too. We also appreciated the extra time to peruse their amazing dessert counter! Everything looked phenomenal! We ended up trying their homemade rice pudding, which was delicious and tasted like tiramisu. I had the eggs benedict, which came with curried home fries and fresh fruit. It hit the spot! I felt full, but it wasn't so heavy that I didn't want to walk around all the little shops after brunch. We had a great experience.More

Nice people, very good baked goods and a tasty eggs Benedict. This place strikes me as one of the better places around. Their sweets are also good and they have a great cup of coffee. They also serve dinner and I could tell people who...visit Fire Island regularly like this place a lotMore

Were there for lunch on a Weds- sat outside- 1 other table was occupied- we waited almost 10 minutes for our waitress to give us a menu- had to ask another waitress to have our waitress come back to take our order. Food was so-so...and relatively expensive. We went back for breakfast the next two days(very few places serve breakfast on Ocean Beach) different waitress- better service- food still so-so and expensiveMore

My daughter-in-law, our 2 grandkids and I had a great breakfast here today. Kids loved the chocolate chip pancakes. One adult had the giant SW skillet, and I had the Western OMELET, both of which were really great and really big! The service was also...very good. It wasn’t a cheap breakfast, but it was on par for Fire Island. We’ve been before and we’ll definitely go again.More

We randomly choose this place walking. Not much to say, the food was okay, really no flavor in my opinion. I had the fish sandwich and calamari. I've had Way better calamari. Our waiter was nice....

Truly enjoyed the menu and the flavors of breakfast in this bright, friendly spot. We sat at a high table next to the window and enjoyed a breakfast burrito and two eggs and bacon. It's $25 per person so that's not an inexpensive experience, but...it is high quality.More
