We had the most perfect first evening whilst holidaying in Fira, Santorini because of Argo restaurant. We were seated at a stunning table with an amazing view of the Caldera for sunset. The service was faultless; our waitress was so attentive but not slightly overbearing....All staff wore face-masks so we felt very safe. We didn't feel rushed or pressured to vacate the table until we had eaten and enjoyed the sunset. I would recommend booking your table 45-60 minutes before the sundown time for a lovely experience. The food itself was delicious; there was huge variety and all at reasonable prices.More

We dined at Argo this week after our hotel recommended. It never disappointed, the staff were so hospital, the food was outstanding we had the lobster pasta to share! And the sunset view was breathtaking! I would highly recommend.

The quality meets politeness and politeness meets perfection!! I could write thousands of reviews for this superb restaurant in Fira, but this may be boring, that’s why I will be very specific! For the time you call for a booking, you may understand owner’s and his team politeness.Approaching...the restaurant, you get a very welcome smile and approach by Constantinos( the owner) or Dimitris in the reception desk. The restaurant is on two and a half levels, both of them excellent for the view that provide even for “caldera” as for the internal small pedestrian road. The menu is AMAZINGLY PERFECT,either if you choose meat or fish!!! The hot appetizers are delicious with the SUPERB “ shrimps saganaki”as a priority, and of course go for “the eggplant rolls“ and for the “ pastourmadopitakia”.The salads are extremely delicious with my 2 favorites : “ salad aisthisewn” and “Santorini salad”.The main dishes are UNBEATABLE: Spaghetti of shrimps,Rib Eye,fillet of chicken for 2 persons , risotto with masticha!!!All of them in the menu are very delicious,as we are visiting Argo restaurant all the times we are in Santorini, cause I want to try all the tastes!!The variety of the deserts are maybe,in my opinion, unique and have the chef’s personality!! Try the orange soufflé or the amazing Tiramisu!! And of course, the spot of Argo restaurant is it´s personnel!Very polite, always with a smile, very helpful to keep you satisfied and make you feel very welcome! Compliments Constantine for your great time!Dimitris,Angelica,Lydia,Melina and this exceptional team THANK YOU! PS.Constantine, pls go for a second restaurant in Oia ,as this you own, cause your lack there is very obvious!!More

Had a wonderful meal here, good value for Santorini. We booked late so table was not a great view of the sunset so book in advance for second or roof terrace. I had veg mousaka which was fab but everyone else chose the mixed grill...which was really lovely - def worth a trip if you are on this beautiful islandMore

Amazing food, wine and cocktails. Having books table quiet some time I’m advance, I was advised they would accommodate the best sunset view table- and they stuck to their word remembering what they had promised! Staff were lovely, cocktails lovely and reasonable prices for Fira...and the food especially the steak was a dream! Make sure you visit Argos is a special experience and you won’t be disappointed :)More

Good place if you want something from the freezer... They were so in a hurry that they didn’t even take the time to heat the plate... the puree was still frozen inside and the sauce for the lamb not even liquefied.

We visited on a Wednesday evening with a 7pm reservation to see the sunset. You will need a reservation if you want to eat at this time. You definitely pay for the view here - which is stunning, no doubt about it. The setting is...lovely too - a really nice looking place. The service was average - friendly enough staff but nothing amazing. We weren't rushed which was nice and we were there for around 1.5 hours. We enjoyed the shrimp saganaki for starter which was delicious! Sadly, the rest of the food & wine wasn't all that great. The main course (mixed kebab souvlaki) was below average at best - tough meat, lacking any real flavour etc. For 1 starter, 2 mains, 2 cocktails and a bottle of wine it set us back €110. You can get much better food, much cheaper elsewhere! (Then head to the lighthouse at the bottom of the island to admire the sunset). Wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend.More

Everyone who we spoke to said Argo and idol are the best restaurants and I would have to agree. I don't know about La Scala as I have not been there yet.
