Fantastic restaurant in Oia

Really very nice restaurant, relaxing and refined atmosphere. The food is very good and well presented and the choice is varied. At the beginning of the meal, everyone is also served a very welcome mini appetizer. The price is fair compared to other very expensive restaurants in the same area. The staff is courteous and welcoming (the uniforms are beautiful). We felt at ease and will certainly return.

A meal in a calm and warm place

Right in the middle of the town of Oia hides this small restaurant between the quiet streets for a pleasant meal without necessarily a lot of traffic. We have eaten well. We had a good laugh with the waitresses who were very nice. Each time we received a dish, who was like the chef, explained to us what was on our plates, which was quite pleasant. An address to make.

Could be better, hopes were high but an average experience.

We loved the atmosphere of this place but unfortunately left feeling we had paid for food we didn’t really enjoy. My partner is vegetarian and we were drawn to the online menu that upon arrival we learned was not updated from last season. Despite not having any vegetarian mains the chef was kind enough to improv a mushroom risotto, however this was not offered initially by the server. The mushroom risotto was good albeit slightly over-seasoned but when the bill came it was higher than the price of a Wagyu steak ($41 for a vegetable risotto). This left us feeling a little taken advantage of. The Wagyu steak I ordered medium, came out with half of it unevenly cooked and rare so I didn’t end up finishing the meal, the steak was also very average in terms of flavor. Overall, this place looks great, has kind staff, but the food wasn’t worth the price point.

The best food we had in Santorini all week

I’ll start by saying this was some of the best food we had all week in Santorini! Whilst it may not have a caldera or sunset view, Fino more than makes up for it with the quality of the food and cocktails and the service. Each of the dishes we had tasted incredible, and we appreciated the slight twist most of the dishes had. Stand out dishes for us were the lobster spring rolls, the crispy ravioli and the lamb, but in all honesty everything we had was brilliant. The staff were extremely attentive, warm and friendly and clearly proud of the food and dishes they are serving. Can highly recommend for anyone visiting Santorini or Oia that values great tasting food!

Wonderful food, service and setting

Wow - what a fantastic start to our vacation. Fino was our first dinner in Greece and it set the bar high for flavorful food and warm, welcoming service. We ate on the terrace, a group of 9 in a very comfortable lounge area with shade umbrellas. The local wine was wonderful and matcha at the end of the meal was a treat. Thanks for a memorable night!

Outstanding dining experience

Highly recommend Fino Restaurant for a fabulous dinning experience. My family and I visited for dinner on 26August2023 and had an outstanding dinner pared with the most amazing drinks from the bar. The Mixologist made drinks with flare that tasted amazing and went very well with all things we ordered from the menu. The most outstanding taste created on the lobster rolls blew my mind. The fresh very well prepared fish had great taste, every dish we order was with high quality ingredients and prepared with care from the chef. The staff were very professional with smiles and pleased to make our dining experience one I and my family will never forget. Amazing Atmosphere and Food

Fino is a must dine for anyone in Santorini. It was one of our (if not our top) favorite meals during our 2 weeks in Greece. We started with amazing cocktails and split 3 appetizers (spring rolls, mini burgers, and crispy ravioli). The food was divine and we still talk about (and crave) the spring rolls. The atmosphere is great and the service was amazing. Our hotel recommended and secured us a reservation, and we are so grateful we got to have dinner here!

Amazing food great reasonably priced wine and the loveliest staff ever . We had lobster spring rolls they were delicious along with other starters . The waitress described all the starters so we had a selection but the lobster starter was amazing . Had the pork ragu next with pasta so tasty . By far the best restaurant for dinner we found . Dinner at Fino was fantastic! Another reviewer wrote it best - for a place to survive and be busy in Oia with no view, the food must speak for itself. It surely did, and while no view, the ambiance of fino was perfect. From the lobster spring rolls, beet salad, sea bass, and the deconstructed fruit tart - everything was perfectly prepared and presented. Service was also excellent. The wine list is small but robust with great Greek wines, and the cocktails looked amazing. I would recommend making a reservation - when we arrived for ours at 8:30 there were no other tables remaining.

My wife and I went to Fino on a whim after watching the oia sunset. Thankfully it was late season so we could get in without a reservation (you should make one). I would eat Fino’s food and drink their cocktails every night of my life if I could. This is THE one restaurant you need to go to while in Santorini. I am well experienced in high end steak restaurants and not a seafood eater, but I would eat the blackened cod every day over the best steak I’ve ever had. The cocktails were fantastic and choosing what to drink is An especially fun experience with how the menu is arranged. We had went to two separate Michelin star restaurants on our trip for tasting menus and Fino easily surpassed them in atmosphere, experience and most importantly, food and flavor.

Horrible lobster risotto and service

Let me start with the service: my server was pretentious and snobbish. Not only did I feel like an imbecile, (A comment made by the server, “yes, I know that” was made when I made a remark to him about me dining alone). How condescending. If you’re going to spend €50 or more per person, go elsewhere while you will feel like you’re welcomed. I’ve had better service and food. Food and atmosphere: The atmosphere is nice. They have covered and open seating arrangements. The tuna sashimi with sesame seeds was delicious. After that, the food only got worse. My lobster risotto was over cooked and extremely salty. When the server came back to my table to ask how my food was, I told him it was salty. He said he would tell the chef. End of story. No conciliation was offered. Don’t come here if you want to be impressed. Set very low expectations and they will be met.

Although it was impossible to make variations of the dishes, although it is a top restaurant, we perceived the quality and refinement of the dishes. Amazing cocktails, food and service!

Top notch food, excellent servers and amazing cocktails. We could not ask for anything more. Even our picky eater kids had a great meal! Some friends of our recommended this place and we are so glad we went. Sometimes more “fancier” places will see that you have kids and you get that “look” from the staff. Not here. We felt welcome right away and the servers were engaging. My wife and I ordered one of their signature cocktails (forgot the name but it had dark rum and a coconut foam). I was skeptical as I am not a huge fan of craft cocktails but this one was a hit! I branched our and also had their Ginger cocktail. Perfect combo with my dinner. We were a bit anxious bringing the kids with us but that anxiety quickly went away when they offered kids meals that were off the menu. I ordered the Ibiraco pork and rigatoni, my wife ordered the black cod and both my kids got their kids pasta. All four meals were excellent and just the right portions. Quality over quantity!

Overrated - horrible service and over priced

We had a horrible experience here, we were very excited given good reviews. The service was horrible. We sat for 40 minutes before they even took our drink order. The food portions were small for the price and they substituted the risotto that came with the chicken for a small avacado salad and the avocados were so under ripe and rock solids. Better to save your money and your time and go to Ochre Wine Bistro!
