The magic of the Greek islands is best experienced by the sea. Ammoudi Fish Tavern lets you relax and gaze at the crystal clear blue waters of the Aegean, the passing cruise ships, the fishing boats and the evening parade of old ships taking visitors to dreamy sunsets.
Great food and very special fresh fish. So perfect sea view and sunset. Polite staff and our waiter"Miltos" the lovely guy was so friendly with us.I definitely recommend it as a restaurant. It will be the best choice!
This is in reality THE BEST fish restaurant in whole Santorini. We have tried quite a lot sea food in Santorini, but Ammoudi Fish Tavern was simply the best! No other restaurant served us so delicious food! And the price-food rations was quite ok. The...best part is that the fish is fresh (maybe the freshest in Santorini) as we saw so many times fisher men just coming back on the Ammoudi Bay and selling their catch directly to the restaurant.
And the service was great as well. Miltos was really friendly, helpful and entertaning!
I really recommend this restaurant - food, service, price - all was SPOT ON! Guys make sure you make your reservations and go, go, go!!!

Although Amoudi bay is beautiful, the vibe of the restaurant was very much like being at a canteen. We were ushered upstairs and told by quite a pushy hostess we could only sit there and the view would be fine, the servers were rushed off...their feet churning out dish after dish of volume prepared sea food. While the setting was nice, the quality of food and service doesn’t match up to other offerings for the price.More
Very expensive restaurant: the price for value is not good. The restaurant was Not that full and the waiter forgot to bring us a part of the order. Very disgusting, I found a piece of fish skin in my coffee. Also, when the bill arrived,...the waiter decided to charge us with 2 extra cappuccino that We did Not take...
the view at the sunset is very nice, but this is not credit of the restaurant... if You decide to go here for this, maybe choose another restaurant.More
€200 dinner last night... really not sure it was worth the expense. I had grilled octopus starter - lovely €17... my friend had Urchin “salad” €21. No salad - just a bowl of urchins? Cold urchin soup? Not worth it, don’t waste your money. Main...course, friend had seafood linguine and said it was great €22, i had fish, wanted snapper but ended up with sea bream, mediocre at best. Over done veg... waiter SMOTHERED it in olive oil, ignoring my protests. €45. Our waiter surly and rude, drinks waiter lovely and helpful. Hugely unimpressed.More
This place was so good, that we came two days in a row😍. The food is amazing, a must-go-to if you love seafood. The first day, we had the fried calamari and after the shrimp in ouzu and orange sauce, a must try😍. The next...day, we had the grilled octopus and sea bass, also amazing dishes. The service was superb, special shout out to Milto and the whole staff😍.More
There is no one reason Amoudi Fish Tavern tops the list of almost every article on Santorini restaurants, there is about a dozen. From the scenic decline to a colourful huddle of unique restaurants, to the iconic Santorini sunsets, the perfectly executed simplicity of a...tangled platter of giant prawns, and the welcoming and always friendly staff (special shout out to Prince Harry and his vinsanto!), it is worth every step (and there’s about 300, so wear sensible shoes...) and is a must-visit.More
Just back from an amazing week on this wonderfully enchanting island celebrating a special anniversary.
We did our own research and were also pointed in the direction of this restaurant.
The setting is to die for , the fresh fruit of the sea is first...class however the staff are the really stars of the show. Attentive , professional, friendly and when combined with the excellent food on offer you really have cracked it. Harry is a wonderful host albeit some of the staff have very questionable football allegeancies but hey , nowhere is that perfect !
If you are on a budget , don’t bother although that can be said for Santorini period.
This place will be forever in our hearts.More
