Glowing candle light. Caring service. Nuanced dishes. Bouganvillia covered terraces. All of that, and more. A charming little spot, just a stone's throw from the beaten path. Come here after sunset and enjoy one of the best spots in Oia.

As you walk in you feel like you will dine in a family member's home. The terrace is really cozy. The decor is detailed to the T. I must say that my husband and I enjoyed our food. We both had the chicken. It was really tender and juicy. We cleared our plates! The house wine was delicious. The entrees... More

My husband and I shared a meal with 6 friends at Candouni last night following a recommendation from one of the other couples hotel reception. It is hidden away in the back alleyways of Oia so you probably won't find it unless you go looking for it! We were warmly greeted (to an empty restaurant) by the chef and owner... More

We ate here for dinner after we had done the trail from Oai to Fora. A small family owned restaurant in the village. Romantic, with good wine and fish entrees. Make a reservation because it fills up fast. Service can be slow as it appears they need more staff.

Magical atmosphere both outside on the covered terrase and inside: candles and flowers, typical old greek building. Family run restaurant, super friendly and classy. And then the FOOD! As a vegetarian, the eggplant, pepper and cheese dish baked in the oven was to die for, as well as a bunch of amazing appetizers, and my boyfriend confirms the meat is... More

Late on a hot afternoon we happened upon this cool, leafy, quiet oasis. The food was so fresh and tasty - try the marinated beetroot! Thanks again, we loved it, Karen and Julie (Australia and New Zealand).

Everything we ate at Candouni was amazing. The wine was also excellent. Our waitress was incredibly helpful in helping us to select our meals and wines and she was spot on. Best lamb chops we have ever eat. The courtyard is magical at night and the restaurant is located in a quiet back street. Very authentic! The chef came to... More

One of the best at Oia! I recommend it for its ambiance and delicious food! Nice service too! Not touristic at all!

We found this restaurant through a recommendation by a German travel book . It is a bit off the beaten track , no caldera view, but a beautiful garden sitting instead . Food was pretty good . We had calamares in pesto as starter and long cooked lamb and fresh tuna steak as main (too much food - we'd go... More

A beautifully-appointed Italian restaurant in Oia, we chose this spot even before reading the energetic recommendation from the local bookstore's guide. The food was fantastic, especially the Feta bake starter and generously proportioned Baklava dessert. Our evening was a long one as the food came slowly, in part because of a large party booked into an adjoining room, and we... More
