Dropped in for lunch. Two of five had the moussaka. Beautifully presented as a tower, light but with exquisite flavour. So good that we went back. Second time around 4/5 moussakas. Menu is short but everything on it was well prepared,

After reading all the reviews, we decided to try out this restaurant. The rooftop is amazing, we were on the behind but still had a nice view and even if we were a bit out of sight we were not forgotten. The staff was super...friendly and helpful. My husband enjoyed the meatballs and they were on point. My fried calamari were a bit of a disappointment, the texture was a bit off but they were ok overall. However the dipping sauce was excellent. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Santorini salad either, it was good, but I was more looking for a Greek salad which it was not exactly. Overall we were very happy with our meal, if I hadn’t been looking for anything super specific in the first place I wouldn’t have been a little disappointed.More

Had dinner there, arrived after the sunset , still very nice rooftop, with a beautiful view on Oia Service was very nice The menu does not propose grilled fish, only more sophisticated mains.

It was so good and beautiful that we went there 3 times during our 1week trip in Santorini/Oia. 2 times for Lunch and one time for the Sunset view. Everything is excellent, you can definitely go there without worrying about the food quality!

For our anniversary we went to this restaurant. The location for the sunset was nice, stuff was really friendly! The food was tasty but for me it is 30% overpriced. Beer 7€, Glas Wine 5,50€, Espresso 4€. For me there are better restaurants in Oia...with a better value for money.More

We visited during the coronavirus pandemic, so think there were less tables than usual which was lovely! It was so nice and spacious and we had a fantastic table right by the edge with a great view. Pelekanos is in the centre of Oia, and...set on the top floor for the fantastic views. It's probably one of the less touristy restaurants, but unfortunately is just as expensive, as you're paying for the views! The most expensive things on the menu were cocktails, which were €15 each! However I do think the food was well worth it! Pelekanos had the best tomato fritters (Santorini speciality) and tsaziki we had during our trip, and we had a lot!! The fritters were packed full of flavour and not oily at all! The mains were also very tasty, we had the chicken with sun-dried tomatoes and the fish. Would definitely recommend for the food, perhaps avoid the cocktails if you're looking for a most cost effective meal :)More

Delicious mousaka and romantic evening view of the caldera. Also very tasty minced meat beef souvlaki. Very nice serving of Irini, excellent local red wine recommended, good feeling with friends.

When I arrived I sat on a table closest to the ‘window’. I was told as I was sitting here I had to order food which I was intending to do so. In the mean time I was waiting for a friend. I ordered a...latte and a starter to begin and this still had not arrived after 10-15 minutes. I asked where my drink and starter was and was informed I had to order food now for my latte to come. I said that I would order main food after I had my drink. Another 10 minutes passEd and my latte and starter still hadn’t arrived and a waiter informed me that they wanted to take my food order. The process was very rushed and you couldn’t even order a drink and starter without being asked multiple time’s to order food after I said I would order when ready. It felt as though all they wanted was as much of your money as possible. Some staff were very rude and unwelcoming. In the end I left without ever receiving my latte or starter - would not recommend this restaurant at all. We ended up in a lovely restaurant outside just to the left then right. Go elsewhere!More

My girlfriend and I were looking for a romantic spot to eat and enjoy the sunset while walking down the main walkway in Oia, towards the old Castle. We stopped at the Pelekanos' menu and liked what we saw. We walked up the winding stairs...and were warmly greeted by the owner who seated us at a very romantic table upstairs on their Rooftop. As the sun set slowly, enveloping Santorini in a glow of magical colours, we sipped our local wine and beer and ordered our meals. We started with grilled Halloumi with dried figs, honey and wildflowers which was delicious. The saltyness of the cheese was a perfect accent for the sweet figs and honey. For our mains we had a tasty Seafood Linguine and the Beef Souvlaki which were both very good. Overall, a wonderful place to sit and let the wonders of Oia take you away. Would visit agian for sure.More

Perfect view over the sunset, the staff extremely friendly and likeable. The food: depending on what you may order, it may vary from average to great. Presentation is excelent. I recommend the baklava here - though you may find it everywhere on the island, here...it has a bit more flavor (apple and cinamon).More
