We were drawn to this restaurant by its historic charm and decor which embraces its rural viking past. The staff, who were very friendly and efficient, must have thought I resembled a Viking because the food portions were enormous! Despite the size, the plates were well presented and the food was delicious. Loved it! So did many of the locals,... More

This is not a fancy gastro destination but if you want a pleasant, reasonably priced lunch where you can savor some local dishes and people watch, I'd highly recommend it. We ordered a Norman mussels preparation, steamed with calvados, cider and cream. Very delicious and the mussels were tender and succulent. And of course, the beverage to have with this... More

Varied menu containing good regional dishes. Freshly prepared food which was well presented. Assiette de crudites was very filling, probably should have shared one between two.

We have been seated by the waitress. Unfortunately we have been ignored by her and her collagues. As we had the impression that we have been seen but nobody felt responsible to take our order, we left after waiting far too long.

The staff seemed friendly and helpful. The overall ambience is a little tired with the outside area looking shabby. The food was interesting. My galette was okay but my wife had a very strange oven backed omelette. The moule seemed to be okay. As I say the whole place was a little shabby but the staff were friendly if a... More

This restaurant/pub has a great location and good beer. Stop at the terrace for beer and nibbles to people watch and sit in the sun. Unfortunately the food isn't quite so good but it's perfect for a relaxing drink.

I've been visiting Etretat since the early 90's, and sadly I remember this restaurants former self - The Normandie - which had beautiful food, at a reasonable price. Now, well, it's there just to fleece tourists. We chose to eat here because during Spring Bank it's off season and many restaurants are closed. So we paid €94 for 2 x... More

We waited a long time before even getting a menu, the ober did not smile once and looked very stressed (while there weren't too many costumers on the terrace). He didn't care about our dogs at all and several times almost stepped on them (and it's not like they were in the middle of hallway). After reading the reviews I... More

Great location with mediocre fare. We had the steamed mussels and while they were acceptable, we've had much better. Everything felt perfunctory about this place, like the tourist trap I think it is. I can't recommend it.
