They've had a pretty good long run and at one time could definitely be considered to be one of the best fine dining restaurants around. Used to be a destination that was known to attract the rich and famous, but, there has been a drift downward over the course of more than 10 years we've been visiting. At one time... More

My curse is that I come from a family that cooks and eats. I can be pleased at a restaurant but it is very difficult to leave impressed. This place had me won over as soon as I walked into the dining room. Their display of appetizers - grilled vegetables, platters of smoked fish, cheeses and breads - was a... More

This is the place for consistently wonderful food, in a spot that feels like the middle of Tuscany. A variety of appetizers and cheeses are displayed as you walk by on your way to your table, making the choice for first course very difficult. Our server, who has been there for years, lovingly describes the preparation of 20 or so... More

But, if you appreciate ambience, creativity, re-interpretation of classic dishes, extremely knowledgeable wait staff, customized pacing of the dining experience, then THIS IS IT! Went with another couple (their first, but certainly not last experience here!) ALL menu, dish preparation, and dietary restriction questions thoroughly answered - and then delivered as promised. No "who gets the veal" questions, just exemplary... More

You must try it! And it will become your instant favorite! Best food,Best service, charming and cozy atmosphere. You can't help but love this restaurant. The owner is extremely accommodating (supplementing things to accommodate and make you happy:) and his staff is very knowledgable there Special's list is so extensive I don't know how they remember it all. The menu they give you is not worth looking at. The specials are the only thing they really push. They like to perform explaining all the specials. It's sort of fun the first time, but when you go back more than once you realize that the specials are always the same. The food is very rich, don't go there if... More

After hearing consistently, -great feedback from others, I finally went during Rest Week & it was a little piece of Italy. The decor is charming...like a wine cellar in a Tuscan villa w/all kinds of memorabilia along the beamed ceiling. We started w/cocktails, which were more than generous pours. Appys were: Mistro Terra (a variety of grilled veggies, cheeses &... More

This was the second time my husband and I went for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The wait staff is very efficient and talented. Unfortunately, the price for the value of the meal is not satisfactory. Despite a lengthy menu, they offer and focus upon about 40 nightly specials that are extremely overpriced. For 40 dollars, I had 3 large... More
