Unlike many hotdogs this place has the kind that have some snap to it. It may just be personal preference
and growing up in Europe with that kind of a hot dog skin.

Came back to Newburgh for my 55th high school reunion (NFA 1964) and HAD to stop at Pete's. The hot dogs are as good as the were back when they only cost 15 cents!
