Although the atmosphere at this restaurant was nice and the wait staff friendly the food was not very good and we waited a long time for it. My husband ordered a dinner portion of the octopus appetizer and it came on two separate plates which...I thought was odd, and it was dry as if it had been sitting under an infrared lamp the whole time we were waiting. I had pumpkin soup which was very bland. The carrot cake was not sweet at all which may be good for some people but not for me. I cannot recommend this restaurant.More

We went for dinner with high expectations. Owners(?) were very friendly and accommodating . Bread is outstanding and the 2 pastas were excellent. Steak tartar was overwhelmed with salad dressings . Owner insisted to hear what was wrong, when we told the truth she took...it off the bill. we ended on a high note with good desert . Prices are somewhat on high range for shch a casual setting and mark-ups of wines is even higher. but- experience is good and hopefully we will come back.More

This restaurant was highly recommended to us while we were visiting the area. We decided to take out food because they do not have outdoor seating. The menu was interesting and unique and the food did not disappoint. The burrata and beet salad was plentiful...and very good. The truffle mac and cheese was amazing! This is definitely not your classic Italian food, if that is what you're looking for. But if you are looking to have something different then this is your place!More

What a welcome first meal for our very first time in New Paltz. They seated us upstairs where the tables were safely spaced far apart. Negroni classicos flooded me with the nostalgia days of dining in restaurants pre pandemic. Warm bread and a tasty olive...oil whetted our appetites. The chilled potato leek soup was the best I’ve had - with crunch rosemary and a smattering of chili oil. The rib eye was perfectly cooked medium rare and the fat dissolved effortlessly in your mouth. I wish I had been hungrier! I wanted to order more!More

Me and my three friends came across this place by accident on Monday 27th July. It was close to closing to time but the staff still made us feel welcome. The food was exceptional. We shared a lot of the menu and there was not...one bad dish. The ambiance, staff and food are all fantastic. Definitely recommend!More

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at a Tavola Trattoria. It’s a cozy restaurant — almost made us feel like we were in a small town in Italy. Service was good. Food was outstanding — from the antipasti to the crusty bread through the entrees, topped...off with salted caramel ice cream.More

We were unsure what to expect when stepping in the restaurant but were nicely surprised with excellent service and very good food. The downstairs was loud so we asked to be moved upstairs, which was much quieter and pleasant. We recommend this restaurant
