Mohonk Mountain House is a beautifully landscaped property with a polite and helpful staff. It's great for kids and families; there are beautiful walks, boats available to go around the lake, and the lunch (or brunch on Sundays) is delicious and ample. Highly recommended as a day or weekend trip.

This is our fifth time enjoying Mountain House. And once again it's Beauty has overwhelmed us. From its historical Beauty to the modern amenities.(spa, indoor pool, gym, lounge)and much more. Dining is 5 star. Staff goes out of their way to make your stay the best! I highly recommend you put this one on your bucket list! Don't let the cost... More

The Mohonk Mountain House is an amazing historical resort with many outdoor recreational activities: beach, swimming, boating, hiking, gardens, tennis, golf, horseback riding, mountain biking. And there is a spa that includes various classes all day long. You just can't run out of things to do. But as a restaurant, well that's not really the main point. The 3-course dinner... More

The property is gorgeous and the resort is really something to see. The hotel is spectacular especially when viewed from across the lake. Lunch guests are able to hike around the property and sit in the rockers on the porches. But other recreational areas are clearly signpostedfor overnight guests only. The lunch costs $79 per person and we thought this... More

No matter what time of the year there is something magical about walking the grounds. If you like to see an extensive garden in full bloom I suggest summer. The fall though is magic with the smell of apples in the area. Winter snows make Mohonk look like a castle. Spring time is just so relaxing sitting on the huge... More

If you have never seen it, the Mohonk Mountain House is an incredible, historical structure. It's property is equally beautiful. We were invited by friends to accompany them to Mohonk's "famous" buffet. Let me say right off the bat that all the food was good, but nothing at all said, "Wow." Average is how I would define the offering. The... More

I have only ever visited the Mohonk Mountain House on a day pass. I love walking the gardens, hiking the trails and just relaxing by the lake. This year the weather was as perfect as you could get for the end of summer. Slightly cool with wonderful sunshine. One day I hope to enjoy an overnight stay and wake up... More

For generations, my relations have enjoyed the timeless, natural beauty of the last remaining Victorian resort, Mohonk Mountain House. I make sure I spent at least two days a year there to escape the drudgery of a technologically savvy world that is constantly mutating. Mohonk, an anachronism, refuses to change and has maintained its integrity for over 140 years. An... More

A classic old hotel with many amenities and a wonderful restaurant. Hiking, boating, sight seeing, rock climbing in summer. Skiing, ice skating and indoor swimming in the winter. It is pricey.

Had a wonderful time with the entire family. Hiked, road mountain bikes, lake swimming, canoe, paddle boating, fishing. Evening entertainment. indoor pool was a nice change when it was raining outside. Food was very tasty. Tried to eat buffet for breakfast and lunch, but had dinner served.
