We have had lunch here several times and will go back. If you're a Vegan or gluten-free person you will be in heaven. We are neither but enjoy their unusual menu. Soup of the the day (interesting cream of celery today) with half sandwich (I had gravlax with cream cheese and cucumber on great crusty bread) is a great $13... More

Quaint and simple. But try the lemon pie - delish with real lemon pieces in it and wonderful pie crust

We all know you can't control the loudness of other patrons, but when the proprietor herself is loudly discussing catering details with the only other party in the room, we did not enjoy our otherwise tasty dinner. She was giving them excruciating details about every dish so loudly we really couldn't have a conversation. She seemed to have no awareness... More

We visited the Village Tea Room last weekend. It is a quaint restaurant built within a lovely old New Paltz house. To get to the restaurant you walk on a gravel path from Plattekill Ave or you may use their parking lot (which has limited parking). I would suggest parking in the Municipal Lot across the street or use "on... More

Just made a trip to the Village Tea Room, first time visit... Food was above average (organic, epicurean type stuff), staff was attentive, though one nice aspect setting it apart was the small second floor dining room... Only room for 12 or so which makes it ideal for small crowds and a very personal atmosphere

What a cute, quaint little place to treat your palate! My bf and I went here for lunch on a beautiful, mild February Sunday. This was our first time there so we didn't know what to expect, but we loved every single morsel of our lunch. He got the turkey pot pie that was so hearty and full of flavor.... More

Fresh tosses salads, potato & onion pie, homemade scones, killer cakes & teas from around the world make the Village Tea Room a the perfect afternoon delight. Perfect for mother/daughter get togethers when they visit home from college or working in the big ditties. Great for catching up with your best girl friends and chatting the afternoon away. They have a limited menu and the portions are modest, but everything is excellent. If you're looking for a quiet spot with exceptional quality, this is your spot!

Oh so good - orange cake with apricot filling and darling chocolate bees on top! Yum! The banana date balls were a big hit too!

Went there on a Sunday at 6PM (they close at 8PM) with my family for dessert and when we got there they had not one piece of cake. This was particularly upsetting because we left the restaurant we ate dinner at to go there for dessert and would have just stayed where we we where. Pretty much every picture on... More
