Good food but slow service

We arrived for dinner and were the only customers. However it seems like the restaurant does a nice take out business. The menu is tremendous offering normal and unusual dishes. The papri chat was very good as was the chicken madras. My wife ordered beef malabar to be prepared not spicy. It came too spicy for her to eat. The manager said he was sorry but didn’t do anything else. While our drinks and appetizer arrived quickly we had to wait a while to order our meal as well as to receive our entrees.

Best Indian Restaurant in Rockland County

I love Bombay Grill in New City, NY. They have the best Indian food around. Their staff is friendly and attentive all the time. My husband and I go at least 3x a month and it is always fabulous. I love that I have vegetarian options and my husband has meat options.

Delicious local Indian food

Went for dinner and everything we ordered was delicious and fresh tasting. Staff was very friendly too. Would definitely recommend and come back for another time!

Delicious!

I had a bunch of family over for a gathering and just didn't feel like cooking, so decided to order in. Everybody enjoyed the variety of food including my 16-month old grand-nephew. I ordered mostly mild and a couple of medium to satisfy all different palates. In the photos, you can see what I ordered: lamb rogan josh, shrimp curry, chicken tikka masala, chili gobi, saag paneer. And of course, rice and naan (combo of garlic, onion & regular). The waiter who helped me with the order warned me it was a lot of food for my 12 guests, but I wanted extra and it was perfect because everyone wanted some to take home! Thank you for helping me decide on the dishes. Sorry I don't remember your name but you were very patient with me. Everyone kept complementing how delicious everything was! I'll definitely be back.

Inconsistent!

I have had a few “ok” meals from here. Tonight, my daughter and I ordered the usual to go. We went to pick up and the order was wrong. It was 30 mins to fix it. Tonight, the food was horrible. We couldn’t not eat it and threw away about 3/4 of the meal. I called and complained. The owner called me back and would do nothing. Sometimes you will get an average meal and other times it’s horrific. There are better places like Mumbai Dreams in Nyack

My new family go-to!

I grew up in Rockland but somehow missed this gem. I discovered it over the summer and have been making up for lost time by going once a week. The nightly buffet (weekdays) has so many tasty options to pick from. I have been taking my family because I know there is something for each of us. From classic favorites to new-to-me dishes, this place has it all. The staff are super friendly and I always feel welcome here. Can’t wait to go back next week!

Amazing flavors

We come here about once a year and the food is consistently amazing. This is our favorite local Indian cuisine. The staff is attentive and friendly. We love the Shrimp Vindaloo and Biryani dishes. The Garlic Chili Naan is awesome for those that like spice. We have not had the buffet because we like specific dishes but that seams to be very popular. If you like to taste different spices you will not be disappointed!! Highly recommended.

Amazing food, great staff very helpful and made us proper desi food since we missed it from back in Scotland, UK. I went here 3x and they were so kind to give us some discount too. One of the best around

As an Indian, I’m super picky about Indian food. This is one of the best spots available in the area. Papri chat & any pakora are great appetizers. Great portions, friendly staff. Well worth the visit. I heard the buffet is excellent, but haven’t tried that for myself.

Above average buffet

We came a couple of times recently both for buffet and for off the menu. The buffet is generous (more so on weekends) and has a clear separation between vegetarian and non- items—quite an important feature for us. A glass of wine is included. Menu has a few less familiar items to go beyond the usual meals one expects.
