This place reminds me of those movies that take place in 1950's Little Italy, with the low lighting, exposed bricks and that welcome home but don't have your back to the door appearance. I'm so happy that they don't modernize this place and make it...minimalist like so many places, because it's really got family feel. The food is certainly homemade. We've gotten pizza and pasta and other items and it's obvious that the sauce did not come from a jar. Or if it did come from a jar, it's a very expensive jar. The red sauce is just the right balance of sweet and savory. Yum!More

Very good old-fashioned Italian restaurant. Enjoyed lunch with friends... eggplant parmigiana, sausages, and pizza. Friendly service, decent prices, and an authentic atmosphere. Street parking.

I have rarely been led down the wrong avenue using TripAdvisor and today was no different. Typically for lunch I try and be good and have a salad because traveling for business requires discipline if you want to avoid gaining weight. My sandwich was amazing...and it all starts with the bread!!!! Great job!!!More

GREAT wood oven pizza----but lot of other Italian food. Not a franchise, just a good, welcoming, family and friends place. I told my non-natives friends from Boston about Martio's when I heard they always stopped in that town(Nanuet/Spring Valley exit) once they got unto the...NY State Thruway. They loved it and so we tell other. Try it, they should have something you'd like and they'll make you feel at home.More

Martio's has been in Nanuet forever. You can't get some better pizza anywhere. The sauce is a family recipe the crust on the pie is thin and crispy. If your looking fora great sandwich the cold combo with a warm crusty hero a legend is...pure heaven. If you want great food , fare pricing and goo service look no more this is you place.More

From one of the lesser-known pizzerias in Rockland County, a slice from Martio's has the flavor one would expect, and it doesn't disappoint.

Very cute old fashioned pizza place. The pizza is very thin, you also have a choice of coal fired later in the day. The pasta fagiole is the best around with always perfect garlic bread. The owner is religious so he has pews for seats....Sometimes he posts religious quotes around which I could do without but overall, I enjoy the food and the atmosphere so I do recommend a visit if you are in town.More

Since the first time I went to this place, it became my favorite pizzeria. Not just in NY state, but in all the places I ever visited. This includes a lot of US states, Europe, including Italy, and some parts of Asia. I like the...large pizzas here and the garden salad with a pitcher of drafts beer. For my taste this pizza is perfect, the thickness of the pie, the crust, the tomato sauce the cheese -- just the right amount, very good quality and taste. The atmosphere is also nice with the wooden benches and large wooden tables. I go back every time I visit this area.More

I ordered the Meatball Parm and Baked Ziti to go. Was staying in a hotel and forgot to ask for utensils for the Ziti. Still the food was amazing. I can’t get good Italian food like this on the west coast. I hope I get...to go back once more before I have to leave. Parking was not the easiest to find when it is busy.More
