Tried out the restaurant having never had Ethiopian food. It was a good experience. Service was good - ambiance ok.

What a fun way to eat dinner! A variety of meat and vegetables served on the BIGGEST pancake, actually called injera, is the traditional Ethiopian way to eat. Yes they do have forks and knives if you so desire, but the injera is a fun way for kids to scoop up food. The owner always remembers us and the dinning... More

this place was not good at all, the service was less than friendly and slow, and the food was wierd ans subpar. go to teff in stamford, ct instead! that place is great! the doro wat there tasted like a rainbow, here it tasted like a sad saute of brown old butter and roughly chopped chicken, with little seasoning or... Very tasty meals served with traditional spongy Ethiopian bread (injera)--with plenty of bread refills. Prices are very reasonable if not downright cheap. Also, friendliness of staff is unparalleled in Westchester, NY. We come back quite often.

This was both a culinary and cultural experience. Ethiopian food is eaten differently than we traditionally do in the West. The staff will explain it to you. Suffice it to say that if you have to resort to the fork they give you - you failed. The cuisine is spicy but more varied and subtle than Indian, though it has... More

The meal was classic Ethiopian. Good for meat eaters and vegetarians. Tasty and fun. If you are unaccustomed to Ethiopian, do it now.

Eating at this restaurant was definitely an experience. The staple bread, made from a grain called teff, was something I had never tasted before, and although some of the dishes were not very different from other more widely available cuisines in the US, the experience on the whole was new and exciting. The staff were remarkably friendly and the atmosphere... More

We tried the sampler and found it to be delicious. One recommendation is it contains 3 wat dishes made with different meats and although they were very good, the sauces are basically the same. The choice would have been better to have a tibs dish as standard fare and eliminate one of the wat dishes. The accompanying vegetable dishes (which... More

We loved the food here: it was fresh and very tasty and nicely spiced. However the vegetarian sampler for two was so meager it was really more for one person. The scoops wee about a cup's worth. I'm used to getting much bigger servings at Ethiopian restaurants in NYC and DC.

In cocktail party battles for foodie supremacy, Ethiopian cuisine usually makes for the knockout punch. Don't let this happen to you - visit Lalibela. Likely the food represents a leading example of this cuisine with spicy chicken, lamb and beef strongly spiced with chilies and garlic. In this case, however, the cuisine presents some institutional limitations as it concerns only... More
