I'm so glad my husband and I tried this out on Friday night because the food was absolutely delicious and the service incredibly professional, courteous and friendly. Knowing close to nothing about Georgian food (other than sampling it in Tbilisi in the 80s when Georgia...was part of the USSR...which did not compare to this), we asked for recommendations and they were all fantastic. The Chikhirtma chicken soup was to die for good. It is one of the most unique and delicious soups we've ever had and we make a lot of homemade soup. Definitely order it. We had the Adjaruli cheese bread. It arrives at the table with raw egg in the hot cheese, and one needs to quickly stir it in to cook it. It was messy but wonderful. The table next to us ordered the Imeruli cheese bread which looked a little like a stuffed pizza, and we made a note to try that next time too. Next we tried the Khinkali beef & pork dumplings. We received 4 large soup dumplings which were much thicker and heavier (@2-3" dia) and spiced differently than Chinese soup dumplings, but yummy. Last we had the Chakapuli slow cooked lamb. It was incredibly tender with a unique flavor profile due to the herbs and greens used. While the desserts looked delicious, we were too full to try them. We finished off the meal by trying a glass of Georgian cha cha liqueur. If you like Poire William, you might like this even more. It was refreshing and not cloyingly sweet like many other liqueurs. There is a well-stocked bar that features a wide selection of wine, beer and cocktails, as well as Georgian specialties. Our server was incredibly helpful, patient in answering our questions, friendly, and professional. The only area I see for improvement is the ambiance. While the restaurant is clean and neat, the ambiance is a bit cold and harsh. They would do well to dim the lights, change the blue ceiling light to a warmer tone, perhaps add some tablecloths, and definitely add candles to the tables & bar....an easy fix that would make this a knock-out. We feel lucky that Mt Kisco has a new Georgian restaurant and we wish the owners much success. We will be back and will bring a group as there is plenty of room and the portions are generous and good to share family style.More
