Just north of I84 in Montgomery,NY we found an excellent restaurant where Chef/Owner Chris Camillo (a CIA graduate!) prepares outstanding meals from the freshest produce and ingredients. A varied menu and delicate balance of flavors resulted in an exceptional meal and evening. Worth a drive to get there!

When you have a talented Chef/Owner who is as talented as Chris Camillo cooking for you, you want to tell the world! A special of Fiddlehead Ferns in a light vinaigrette was a special, and shared it made a great start to our meal. Curried Shrimp on Lentils was excellent, with the shrimp cooked just right. Grilled Squid with a... More

This restaurants has been in business forever. I hadn't been there in about 15 years. The food is still excellent. I started the evening with the steamed clams for an appetizer. They were perfectly done. Served just at the moment they opened. I finished up by having their Big Ribeye steak. Yes it was big and it was done just... More

restaurant needs updating especially the carpeting, but overlooking that the service was excellent and the salmon was delicious. the waitress we had was more then attentive and informative! a good cup of coffee is very important to me at the restaurant, and it was freshly brewed with real cream. the menu itself was kind of limited. would like to see... Our hotel recommended Camillo's at the Crossroads and it was outstanding. We went out as a group of nine. All of us enjoyed our meals. The steak was great, salmon was perfectly cooked, the scallops were delicious - a great restaurant. Very good friendly service. It made for a beautiful evening with family and friends.

My husband and I took an overnight trip to Montgomery to get away for a night. After researching the other restaurants in the area we decided to come here because they had more steak selections. When we pulled up we were not impressed with the outside. However, do not let appearances fool you. The inside is very vintage and absolutely... More

this restaurant has been in this location for years but I am afraid it is losing is relevance... servers need training (they did not explain anything on the menu and used inappropriate phrases like "are you still working on that?"), salads over dressed, beet and gorgonzola appetizer lacked all the finishing touches (pecans were not glazed, beets tasted like the... Have driven past this restaurant for years, and always thought about eating here. I had heard various accounts of it changing hands, and no one I knew had been there. It is right at the corner of a very busy intersection, and being so close to the road the building looks a little sketchy. That being said, it is bigger... More

I was really pleasantly surprised ! The decor is funky/cool, with hand painted murals and flourishes around - someone is a very talented artist. It feels relaxed, homey, yet, special. Anyway, the food! Good menu, and the food is really GOOD. The best chicken- I think it's organic- I have ever had, the cedar planked salmon (although farm raised), is... More
