DO NOT GO HERE. Terrible and rude service. We arrived with our 3 year old and two grandparents, to a nearly empty restaurant, and the guy at the front was extremely rude. Refused to serve us even if we got food to go. Meanwhile our...child was being very well behaved. Waiter had terrible and arrogant attitude.More

We ate here on a Friday night in April. We were seated quickly in a heated enclosed patio. Our service and our meals were both very good. I would definitely recommend.

What a gem in the heart of downtown Mantauk! Casual and fun vibe, outstanding food! Fresh tuna tartare taquitos? Amazing! quality fresh ingredients and everything has their own twist right down to the delicious Caesar salad - add blackened scallops for even better meal. It is so rare for me to write reviews, but I feel it necessary to recover from the assault on my sensibilities last night at the Gig Shack. Cute place, good location, decent service...I'll start out by saying something positive. We came with another couple...and struggled with the minimalist menu. Our meals arrived and it's difficult to describe the underwhelming feeling generated by the plates before us. I got the bill and had a hard time finishing my signature on the receipt. Miniscule portions, bland food, crazy prices. I feel like their back in the kitchen saying, "do you believe they pay this$$ for that?" Get over yourselves, please. Until then, I recommend people move down the street for a dining experience. I've been fooled once.More

The Gig Shack is awesome! Trendy delicious food and great cocktails. They had simple picnic table seating where we sat outside and that was great for our kids. Portion size was just right to leave room for some key lime pie! Recommend the mussels, fish...tacos, and ribs…any of them with the blueberry lemonade cocktail!More

Very nice food. Nothing fancy but tasty. Right in the center of town with outdoor dining. Loved it. The key lime pie was one of the best we had.

we had a family lunch at that place today and it was disappointing. Firstly we were greeted at the entrance and promptly seated, so far so good. Our waiter was attentive and pretty quick. But then one of a sudden a lady who was sitting...across to us started to point at something under our table ... It was a mouse! Actually I saw two of them running next to the wall ... I understand that it might have come from the adjacent building or from some other place down the street, but still .. Anyways our food arrived in a bit and it was average at best. My tacos were cold, my wife's coleslaw was probably made a while ago and didn't smell good at all. My conclusion - it's not very clean and severely overpriced.More

This place is over rated, small over priced portions, inattentive service and attitude from the staff. The best employee was the bus boy. The hostess was rude, told us we had a 30 minute wait, understood, but started to seat her friends or the young...men who bantered with her, who just walked up, while we waited. Food was just okay.
