The wooden deck alone is worth visiting - it's just by the station at Montauk along a dusty road but the restaurant itself is beautiful inside and the food was good enough without being mind blowing. Really nice setting.

I've been coming to Montauk for over thirty years, since I was a baby. My family and I have been visiting Duryea's Lobster deck for about 10 of those years. I know Montauk is changing, and I know you can't fight it, but I don't understand when places stop doing what really worked. (Unless you're fine with chucking the old... More

Great sea food by the water. Casual Beach looking restaurant with picnic tables by the sea. Self served .Good attention . Amazing food. The tuna tartar was fabulous .you can't miss the lobster roll , the montauk pearl oyster are insanely fresh and tasty. The crab claws are small but juicy and superb. Don't forget the corn!

Casual dining at your typical lobster shack and fish market. Excellent and speedy service in an outdoor dock setting with a great view. Highly recommend the fried calamari, finely breaded and served with an exquisite eel dipping sauce.

If God were picking a place to open a restaurant this would be it!!! Overlooking the L.I. Sound and Gardners Island there is nowhere more serene, especially with a cold glass of wine. The menu is very diverse and a large portion of the items are served 'family style'. We had a selection of items and each one was great.... More

At first, I absolutely loved the new Duryeas, however, by the end of the summer my opinion had significantly changed. Don't get me wrong-I still think it is an awesome awesome location and concept, however, they are EXTREMELY expensive. I have taken 4 different groups there all summer and on the last visit the service was terrible and I also... More

Hello Jacqueline, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent visit at Duryea's. We would like to clarify some of the issues you experienced, notably the service question. Service IS INCLUDED in the price of all menu items and NOT an 18% gratuity added to the bill. The cashier should provide anyone who asks with a copy of the bill... More

Lauded in the local glossy mags (Hamptons, Beach, etc), we eagerly headed from East Hampton to Montauk to Duryea's for its purported seaside atmosphere and great food. We walked in through the fish market area and it all felt beachy and right. We were promptly seated oceanside feeling the unexpected sun and delightful wind in our faces. We were instructed... More

An expensive insult to your taste buds, with rude service and a $4 charge for water thrown in. Menu is boring and poorly executed. Hard to image how there is only one fish while the market serves half a dozen options, and even that one for $51 was dried to a pulp and sprinkled with some paprika concoction for that... More

Gone is the Montauk-like feel ! I liked the old way where U brought in Your own wine bottle and paid in cash And when Lena cooked like none other. This reinvention has modern stylish tables Not the plastics, real silverware, not the plastics and new recipes with new cooks! I had the lobster roll and it was simply Lobster... More
