Salivar's was recommende at our motel. Ate there for breakfast and dinner. Efficient service, some regular customers. Food is very good and reasonably priced considering this is prime real estate for restaurants.

Great fish and chips!!! Could not have been happier with the entire experience at this restaurant.the server was excellent... She made suggestions that were spot on and will return next time we are in Montauk and will surely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Salivar's is an institution in Montauk. This is where the jaws of the white shark Mundus caught on line, that weighted 2,500 lbs are exhibited in the bar. This is what prompted the movie Jaws to be filmed. The breakfasts here, on the docks are excellent and the atmosphere and view are great.

I am a lifetime summer resident of Montauk and remember the Salivar's of days gone by so I was curious to try the news and improved establishment. My mom and I ordered unsweetened iced tea which really had no flavor but my husband did enjoy a perfectly poured Guiness on tap. Our server was friendly enough. We ordered the buffalo... More

Went there with my family of 7 and although we were seated right away it took the server a while to get to us. The menu was adequate for our varied tastes. My sushi dish was very good, while two orders of fish and chips were disappointing for a restaurant on the water. The server was slow to refill drinks... More

Delicious food accompanied by wonderful customer service. The waitress was very attentive throughout the whole meal. The panko scallops with horseradish sauce was delicious and a great way to start off our meal. The lobsters were cooked perfectly an came with the most delicious "fries".

They dont take reservations but if you call ahead they will tell you how long the wait is. We didnt have to wait as a couple on Sat night 6:30pm but the weather was bad. For a place that seems so casual the food is amazing and unique. Sushi fantastic and we had the Napoleon Salad which was insanely amazing.... More

A recommendation from our taxi driver to come here for lunch did not disappoint. The chowder was lovely. The restaurant is on the wharf where the fishing boats dock. They have a great roof top area and beautiful bar area. Cannot comment about the rest of the food offerings, but judging by the quality of the chowder, they would probably... More

After being on the water for 12 hours there's nothing like great atmosphere and excellent food. That's exactly what Salivars has to offer. The bar area with all the hanging fish is pretty cool, always a healthy crowd, kind staff and fantastic food.

Clam chowder beat Gosman's by a mile. Tuna was also very good. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere on the deck bar was great.
