Expensive, not enough non seafood choices. I really didn't want a burger but that was my only choice other than my husband's grilled cauliflower main dish. Cross contamination issues even forced the burger to be cooked in a pan and fried. While $14 on the early bird menu, it was served with not even a pickle for a garnish. Getting... More

Lovely place for dinner in town. Great seafood options with a decent wine list. My friend and I shared a number of seafood dishes - each one delicious. The place lacked a little ambience for dinner - the decor felt more suitable to a daytime cafe. It's a little more than "average" but not quite "very good" - ideally 3.5... More

The ingredients were too unique for the 5 of us and we are all foodies. The service was good and the location is great.

Love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Close to town and a step up from just the casual places in town. Unique menu and delicious options. We will definitely go back - save room for dessert!

South Edison is for foodies. If you like to try NEW foods that you won't find elsewhere, this is the place for you. You won't find your standard steak or fish and chips here, for you to enjoy this place you have to have an open mind and a mature palette. Every dish I've had here has been delicious and... More

Expeditive service; we arrived at 7:00 and where out at 8:00. The food was average and clearly over-priced.

Food was terrible and expensive. Chicken tasted like it was straight from microwave oven. Waitress was nice but rushed our food to our table. I suggest you go elsewhere. I can't believe there is a certified chef in the kitchen.

We have been there in the past and made it a point to go back again this trip. Arrived Thursday nt and it was quiet as was the whole town. Turned out to be a great evening at South edison. Sat at the bar for a couple of drinks, lots of interesting twists all very good. Basil pepper gin gimlet... More

South Edison is perfect - close to town, not too big, and superb food. Highly recommend the smoky tequila cocktail and pretty much all the food (we loved the scallop crudo in particular). If you're looking for a quieter evening sit by the bar rather than in the enclosed area (which looks cuter but is quite loud). Our waitress was... More

Description
OPEN MAY 5 - OCTOBER 10 for the 2016 SEASON Join us at South Edison and enjoy a menu packed with local seafood and produce. Chef/Partner Todd Mitgang, who developed our original creative menu, and Executive Chef Frank Fuschetto continue to craft new dishes to complement our customers' favorites. Frank has performed as pastry chef at South Edison and our sister restaurant, Bo's Kitchen & Bar Room in NYC, to rave reviews. This summer he proves he's a hit with savories as well as sweets. Walk right off the beach to try our extensive raw bar, a wide selection of wines and beers, and our signature Pickle Martinis garnished with house-made local veggie pickles. Our original cocktails also bring a refreshing start to a summer evening. After dinner, don't miss the extraordinary desserts. Just one block south of town, South Edison reflects Montauk's fun and casual atmosphere. Stop in, kick back, and enjoy!
