Inexperienced staff as per their own admission. Their exact words - we are running on inexperienced staff. Everyone is very tired and hot behind that.mask. Are they going to charge me less because they are tired and hot? No! The prices are the same! Pretty...bad from the customers perspective.More

This has always been one of my favorite places to go. Have missed it so much! Had take out and also good but inside at the bar all seemed very safe and sanitary unlike the other review I read. The practiced social distancing at the...bar and tables. The wine and Italian cheese board are fantastic!More

Not Covid Caring - I am VERY CONCERNED. Ugh, I'm so sad to have to write his review. It is my sincere hope the owners will read this and establish a more stringent guideline for staff to abide by, the one being outlined by the...State of NY and CDC for restaurant workers. 1) Restaurant staff at Salumi was allowing co-workers from their sandwich shop next door to linger, socialize and roam about the restaurant, use restrooms without masks. We raised our concerns to a staff member. Their response, "Sorry". And despite raising concern, it continued on repeatedly without correction. All other paying patrons abided by the laws and wore masks inside when not dining. NYS guidelines clearly state that when your not at your table eating, you must wear a mask when walking through a restaurant /establishment! 2) Restaurant staff at Salumi had a loose mask policies themselves. Our food was brought to the table by a young man with his mask below his nose. He breathed all over our Spanish Board, describing each piece of cheese and meat while breathing directly on our meal, nose mist everywhere. Does he prepare the food with his mask down too? Why, cant people wear their mask correctly? I'm so grateful other restaurants on LI are seriously committed to this - but NOT Salumi. Masks that do not cover the nose spread the virus, this was very disappointing and I started to question why we are dining here when Salumi staff takes our safety (and theirs) so lightly. We should have refused the food. Again, we reported to our waitress, the response was a very tepid, "Sorry". 3) Bar staff wore disposable paper + plastic face shields but no face masks. I have not seen any other restaurant workers forgo masks, and we've been to dozens since June. I personally feel more comfortable seeing face masks worn correctly instead of just a face shield. Some studies I have read out of Switzerland report face shields are far less effective than face masks for Covid spread. So disappointed in what we witnessed at Salumi. None of our other friends, family or associates are dining out yet, for the exact fears we saw tonight - non compliant restaurants. Do Joshua Kobrin & Lilly Kanarova still own Salumi? I have met them several times at Salumi and Plancha. I would hope they would demand better from their staff and the safety of all.More

Love it here Boards and wine are so good and a great atmosphere. They recently expanded so we got a seat at the bar easily which we always enjoy!

We ate at Salumi last night. It was our second time there, and a place that we will return to. The meats, cheeses, and original dishes on the small plates were all excellent. Service was good, atmosphere warm and friendly.

Very Manhattanish vibe Products for sale available Nice cocktails and wines Charcuterie board with ham, prosciutto and some interesting cheeses along with Marcona almonds and hazelnuts Pulled pork was pretty good too The only caveat is you might need to creatively find parking

We have ben to Salumi many times and always loved it. Until now. First, the menu evolves, and the new dishes are awful. The wines are not cheap ($18 for a flight of 3) but many of them now taste cheap. Most disappointing, though, is...the refusal to be even slightly accomodating. One of our party has Celiac disease. The new smoked trout dish is gluten free, except it is served over bread. Can we have the bread on the side? "NO-NO SUBSTITUTIONS!" Seriously? That is as stupid an answer as it is inconsiderate- we just wanted the bread on the side. No, impossible. Turns out, the person with Celiac lucked out. The dish was practically inedible, but the attitude was intolerable. I no longer recommend Salumi.More

I am not sure if they have a happy hour. Normally when interested in a happy hour, which I love, I call the place and ask.
