The Three Bear Inn restaurant in Marathon New York is exactly what you would expect out of quaint little town, with a quaint little restaurant in Upstate New York! The owner and her daughter run a tight ship! The food is very much home cooking,...with large portions. Don't ask for hash browns, because they call them home fries! All the food is good, top to bottom. It's a fun atmosphere, and a great place to stop in off of Route 81. You will not leave hungry!More

My wife and I always stop here on trips to Rochester from CT. My fried chicken was excellent and a bargain at $7. Perfectly seasoned, but a bit heavy on the salt, and fried to perfection. My wife had the soup of the day which...was a creamy chicken soup. Very good with some creaminess, but not over the top. Service was great and we ate on the patio.More

We have eaten at the Three Bear Inn a couple of times now after skiing at Greek Peak and the food has been excellent. Last night we had meatballs, calves liver, and crab cakes: all delicious. Do not judge by the somewhat dated interior: this...is a gem!More

More known as a motorcycle motel and bar but the restaurant is known to locals as something more of an upscale place to dine. It’s nice but definitely a little outdated. We asked for mushrooms on the side with our steak and they were definitely...from a can (gross)! Otherwise okay if you’re in the mood for a good dinner and don’t feel like driving very far.More

While browsing for a new residence in and around the Marathon, NY area, I have visited the Three Bear Inn on two separate occasions. On both occasions I was greeted with a warm "Small Town" welcoming. Suzanne definitely wakes up each morning realizing the fact...that she is Awesome!! Ever so Friendly and Personable! If looking for a place to enjoy a delicious cocktail or fermented beverage, within a more than affordable price range, the Three Bear Inn is an excellent choice for Cortland County. Not to mention a fantastic array of menu items to tame a hungry belly. Conveniently located a short stroll through the parking lot, is the Inn itself. Whether passing through town on a road trip or perhaps experiencing for yourself one of the magnificent experiences had here at Three Bear Inn, a room could be available to you in a moment's notice. #marathonny #upsateny #cortland #cortlandcounty #drinks #inn #food #eatery #smalltown #whitneypointMore

We stopped in on our drive to Buffalo and rarely miss it when passing through on 17. Always pretty good food and great service. The draft was $1.85, which is a cheap soda where we live. Today had the patty melt which was cooked a...perfect medium rare and had the requested grilled onions. 4 lunch entrees, 2 beers and a bill for about $60.More

We have stayed in this establishment a number of times over the years, usually as a stop over spot when traveling to the Thousand Islands. This year it was a stand alone weekend getaway. The building is old and could use a little TLC but...the age is part of what makes it attractive. It is pet friendly which was important to us as we were traveling with the family dog. We will most likely return for another visit in the futureMore
