Quick summary: delicious food, well-priced. Emphasis on Italian and American favorites. Handsome dining room. Friendly, professional service.
This is a favorite of the family when I stop in to visit. The menu is fairly wide, so there is always something that everyone wants.
We generally...split one of the sizable dinner salads (chopped $12, Caesar $8, other options. An individual garden salad is $6.). Starters are also of a shareable size. Calamari $14-$16 depending on preparation, wings $13, cold antipasto for two $15, with more in the $8 - $15 range. Excellent pizzas $17+ range.
For mains, pastas are in the high $-teens to low $20's. We particularly enjoy the mains of meats and seafood, which come with appropriate sides (many $19 - mid $20's, with steaks in the $30's.). We've always had excellent preparations here, fresh and tasty. (I had the filet of sole special the recent night -- $25.). I think there is a burger.
You might ask for my father's favorite, not shown on the menu, but available: jumbo cocktail shrimp, at $3 each. He also is a fan of their fish dishes and steaks.
Full bar, well-priced. Glasses of wine are in the $9-$10 range for a generous pour. (I forget if it was happy hour.)
The dining rooms are in the handsome old train station. Tables, booths, or sit at the bar. The booths are fun, in the retro-circle style.
The service is always friendly and professional, as it was again the night I visited.
To sum: this is a place that I wish I lived closer to, and another good reason to visit the family.More
