Our meals and desserts were all great! The cannoli was one of the very best!! However, be prepared to pay extra for each refill if you order a soda / carbonated beverage. We had three Coke refills and were charged for six!! Wondered if the waitress was padding the bill on that. Two of us had iced tea with refills but we were only charged once for those iced teas.

One of the best Roadside Inns of the 1930's with all the nostalgia of the past and excellent food at fair pricing. Best of all they have been playing soft french music in the background for years.
A very friendly place with a wonderful staff. I have been stopping at this restaurant for over 20 years on my by- monthly 4-hour trips to the Adirondack mountains. Nothing has changed, just the way I like it.

Our family and friends had dinner here over Labor Day Weekend 2023 and so enjoyed it. We had a large group and reserved a private room in advance. The restaurant staff was so friendly, courteous, and accommodating, even adding a few last-minute attendees. We had a wonderful dinner, reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. Thank you!

We sat for over 1 hour and still no food . Waitress came over and said your food will be out shortly shortly was 20 minutes later than we had someone come over so that your food out had a big party in front of you. I called bull. You’re right your ticket was lost. We forgot about you. We are locals and frequent the restaurant often. You guys lost us!!!!

I ordered Calamari and a Hot Turkey Sandwich. The Calamari was delicious. The sandwich which also included stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy was terrible. The mashed potatoes, gravy and dressing tasted terrible. I ate a few bites of the turkey and bread, leaving all the rest on the plate after one bite of each. The stuffing was barely warm. Extremely disappointed.
The service was good, but the waiter did not even ask me how the turkey, etc was.

Went here for our last meal while visiting the area and it was just fair. I had haddock almondine which is a house special and it was missing the sauce and I only had 4 almond slivers on it. The rice that comes with the dish had a curry taste to it and I could not eat it. The fish was served on a cold bed of spinach.
My companion had a pork dish and the middle of pork was very pink and not cooked.
Service was extremely slow.

Would not go back or recommend.

This was our first visit and probably not our last. We did make reservations. Good call, as it was a busy night. We went after a day at the races. This was a fantastic way to end a day. The meal was better that smells that greeted us upon arrival. Let me tell you l, that this place smells like it’s gonna be the real deal and it did not disappoint. The bread was crusty but tender, the stuffed mushrooms could have been a meal for me. I took half of my egg plant home for lunch. Their pasta sauce tastes like it simmers for hours. We enjoyed our meals. We plan re-visit if the opportunity arises. I think that’s a good endorsement.

We had a fantastic meal in this Restaurant. It's the perfect small town Italian Restaurant atmosphere which makes you comfortable the moment you walk in. Wonderful waitstaff and delicious food. started with great homemade warm break and garlic butter or oil and finsihed with fantastic Canolies, the real thing, and NY Cheesecake, the best. We started with the Calamari, also done well. My wife had a Chicken and Pasta in Vodka cream sauce , which was supurb and I had the Ocean Scampi special with clams, shrimp and scallops, also very good.We added a bottle of wine, which was very reasonably priced, and had one of the best meals on our six day trip. Everything was great would absolutely eat here again when in the area

I have been enjoying the Ripe Tomato Food, Service , and Atmosphere every time I am in town. Since Retiring I now will travel 3 hours just to make sure I am close to having my meal at the Ripe Tomato. Food is especially out of this world service could not be any better and the atmosphere is just right. They are accommodating for all your pleasure. Went for a ride last week 3 hours one way just to eat at the Ripe Tomato and return. Well worth the trip. Will take that ride again for sure. Manager is especially attentive to all customers needs and how satisfied the customer was with the Meal and the Service. Wait Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Our waitress Greta had a very bubble personality. She was very attentive, helpful, polite and very patient with our group of 8 noisy line dancers. We had a lovely round table set up on the porch. We were welcomed with a beautiful smile. Greta was very knowledgeable about the food she served us and checked on us throughout the meal. What an amazing waitress to have at a restaurant.

On the busiest day of the year, Mother’s Day we had dinner here. The food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. Our table was ready for us, drinks were brought quickly, appetizers and dinners came out appropriately. I want to thank you for the outstanding Mother’s Day and our daughter’s graduation day.

With the first phone call Taylor was a huge help with reservations and the beginning of our food allergy questions no problem she handled it like a professional. Fast forward we get to the restaurant the parking lot is packed ran in ahead before getting the kids out of the car on a rainy night . Greeted by Autumn and Andrew who answered all of our allergy concerns once again (parents w children with food allergies know what I’m taking about) and we were set for a great meal. Our server Jackie was a professional which is always a breath of fresh air in the service industry. Only thing was Jackie “Did Not” ask my wife for her ID when we ordered our bottle of wine (hint Jackie always ask a lady for their id it makes the husbands night 100 times better ) Dinner was great, service was great Thanks for a great evening

Unique eclectic restaurant decor mixed color chairs and yet a warm cozy feeling with attentive staff. The food is excellent party of four all had different dishes so delicious! The almond fish with an amaretto sauce tasty. The Italian pasta very good, eggplant too, and the seafood diablo. Warm bread and oil to start a nice surprise. Highly recommend for quality and variety of food.

I really don’t understand why there are so many positive reviews for this place. Perhaps I just hit it on a bad night, but the meal I had here was mediocre to poor. Had the haddock almondine which is supposed to be a house special and there was hardly any fish under the breading and almond sauce (which was too sweet for my taste). The mixed greens salad was just okay.
Our waitress was very friendly, so I’m giving it two stars, but the meal was not what I expected for $20.
I would not come here again as there are much better choices in the area.

We have enjoyed the Ripe Tomato for many years and our most recent dining experience was again, GREAT! We love the variety of food offerings and the delicious food and flavorful drinks. The Ripe Tomato continues to be among our most favorite restaurants. Additionally, during this most difficult period we have been impressed with their care for safety protocols for both in-dining and take out. They are a wonderful dining experience.
