Had a surprise going away party here for my sister. The owner was beyond helpful in helping me organize the party, I give him 5 stars. As far as the set up for the party, it was very disappointing. The dinnerware wasn't set up in front of the chairs, there were more chairs at the table than table settings. I... More

It started as soon as we sat down at 5:30 pm - the silver and glassware was heavily spotted. We looked around, it wasn't just our table. There were very few people in the place which is fine at that time during the summer, but you would figure they would have more time to get things right. Then onto our... More

Went to dinner tonight took half hour to get a drink then no bread or anything while waiting for food! The food was great but the waitress never came to ask if we needed another drink or if we needed anything until we were done eating. Very disappointed in service happy with food

My friends and I wanted to enjoy a beautiful summer day at the lake. We decided to try il Laghetto for lunch. The view of the lake, I think, is the best in the town of Mahopac but the price is not worth it. The $22 salad with grilled chicken was outrageous. The lettuce portion was so small it should... We sat outdoors and once the sun set enough to not shine in my eyes, it was lovely. The food was great, the service was good. We were with friends and that's always good. I had scallops which were delicious and my sangria was devine.

The food here was great, we had the fresh oysters, crab cakes, lobster omelet and a couple of salads... all were quite delicious as was the bread and oil. When we arrived with reservations we asked to be seated by the windows as the views are wonderful of Lake Mahopac, the hostess asked us to wait while they set up... More

Stopped in to find a slice of Tuscany. Fresh pasta and delicious food paired with great wine and service and a slow sunset on the lake. Ahhhh!

Good food! Good prices! Outstanding views! From our table near the fireplace to the amazing sunset, our charming waiter, the delicious appetizer of shrimp crostini, veal paradiso, chicken alaska, cappucino & tiramisu, ending with complimentary lemoncello, it was simply a wonderful culinary experience.

Il Laghetto is set against beautiful Lake Mahopac, a hidden gem that Mahopacian's hold close to their hearts. The lake is for many the reason why they are here and why they stay. The location is a definite attraction that most flock to in warmer months. Il Laghetto's name is Italian for "little lake". Set on the water, il Laghetto's location makes it ideal for a Seafood focused menu. A Raw Bar with Oyster offerings, Clams, Lobster, Crab and more is open year round. The menu itself is highly focused on fish but don't deny the 16oz Steak Au Poivre. "Specials" are offered weekends and will focus on other meat options as well. Il Laghetto is open all year and we encourage people to see the lake for it's beauty through all seasons
