We ordered from the catering menu for a surprise party. We got 4 different types of wings and Swedish meatballs. The wings were fabulous - smoky, crisp and huge! The flavors we ordered were mango habanero, raspberry bbq, garlic Parmesan, and sweet chili. They are all so tasty - I can’t really pick a favorite. We did not end up with much leftovers because nobody could stop eating! The Swedish meatballs tasted so good - just like my mom’s homemade meatballs. I highly recommend this place! We also went in on a Wednesday to pick out which wing sauces we wanted to select. Wednesday is 50 cent wing night. We got fast, attentive service on that night too.

Absolutely Fantastic

We had heard good things about the place and found out for ourselves that it was even better than we were told. It was pretty packed on a Tuesday night and we were greeted by a waitress with a smile that could melt the polar ice caps. The menu was so interesting and different and we had a hard time choosing. We said everything looks so good, and she grinned and said "Oh, it really is" We ordered mac and cheese that came with a house salad. We could tell the dressing was home made. Lime honey vinagrette, absolutely delicious. My husband had the briskett, which I still cannot stop thinking about. It was smokey and sweet and so tender it made my heart flutter. I had the sticky shrimp and the Saganaki cheese appetizer. Absolutely scrumptious all around. I cannot wait to go back. Stunning job to everyone in the kitchen and on the floor. You guys are killing it! So lucky to have you in Lockport.

My husband chose this restaurant to celebrate his birthday. First thing we noticed were fruit flies around our table, our waiter commented they were everywhere. It was very annoying. Drinks with top shelf liquor were very reasonable and good. The French onion soup was very good. Entrees arrived before we finished our soup. The short ribs were very good. Pistachio crusted salmon was disappointing. If I went back it would be for a burger or salad.

Not interested in following COVID 19 protocol

Multiple issues from start to finish. Waited over an hour for food. Wife’s salad had multiple hairs in it and my meal came out as a meal I didn’t order. Instead of a discount we were given a second drink we didn’t ask for. Now on to the fact they have no interest in following NYS protocol. I waited for over an hour for food and watched the owner tend bar with her mask below her chin as she complained to customers about Cuomo and Biden. When I attempted to have a conversation with her after the meal she told me her mask would stay up no matter how much she tried. I never say an effort to pull it up on her part all night. Many servers had masks well bell their nose including her daughter while they served you. When they went behind bar or in kitchen masks went further down. She was argumentative and not apologetic. Never made a post like this but was very upset with the entire experience.

Great Atmosphere — Disappointing Food

Atmosphere Great! Food very average. Not best quality. Tried it twice. First time ordered a salad with chicken breast. The chicken breast strips were plentiful and salad tasted good but quite frankly no better than Paneras Asian Chicken Salad. Was it a $30 quality salad? No, it wasn’t. The second time, I came for Saturday Brunch. No normal egg or omelette dishes. Brunch options were extremely rich, cheesy, and sugary. Fresh eggs, homemade breads and or biscuits, bacon/sausage, fresh buttermilk pancakes — not an option here. But if your tastebuds and waistlines crave jelly roll french toast with mounds of sugary jam stuffed inside and out of french toast, overly cheesy goat cheese omelette, extremely rich latke Benedict (could only take 2 bites) — then this place will work. We loved the location and atmosphere — did not feel the quality of food matched the prices.

My daughter lives in Appleton and I was visiting with another friend and my 9-year-old grandson. We wanted to go out to dinner, and first went to the Wilson House, which was gone forever. Then we went to the Wilson Boathouse, which was closed forever. The Hilltop was our third choice, as it didn't have a very good reputation, but was supposedly under new owners and the parking lot was full, so we went with it. Mistake! Service, presentation, atmosphere was way off, but we were open minded until we found lipstick on two of the glasses and it was different on each glass. We just moved them to one side at this point, as we honestly were afraid of someone spitting in the soup. We probably should have just left, but we didn't have any other ideas; again mistake! Just a brief revue of the food. The spinach artichoke dip was like Elmer's glue with lawn clippings, the crab corn chowder was like library paste with lumps, served lukewarm. I have no idea what was in the pasta but it wasn't like any pasta I have ever eaten and had a chemical flavor. The saddest was the short ribs. The ribs were cooked nicely in their own gravy, and would have been quite good if someone hadn't slathered them with some cold store bought BBQ sauce. We put everything together as a takeout for my daughter's pigs. My grandson did eat his burger and fries.

Great Food

Went there to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We arrived at 4:15 expecting to order prime rib but were told it isn't served until 5pm which I would have known if it was posted on their face book post but it wasn't. What we ordered though was high quality and the presentation was what one would expect in a high end restaurant. We had the short rib stroganoff and also the mushroom risotto -both fabulous. We also had top shelf drinks. So our bill was almost $100. With that said, this place is great for the food but the bar area and the employees can be pretty loud which takes away from the intimate atmosphere. However, we will still go there because the food is the main attraction. So just be prepared.

Great veggie burger for a pub

We were surprised to find such delicious food and wonderful service and we were the only patrons in the restaurant! Very good veggie burger, cauliflower and quinoa burger, regular burgers and salad! Would definitely return!

Friendly greeting , plus smiles and happiness and a beautiful bar, CHANTELLE is a fantastic server very knowledgeable, and knew the menu I loved her suggestion on the wild-caught crusted salmon and the Garlic Lemon chicken for my wife. We started with AN APP CALLED KOREAN SPARE RIBS, which was awesome with every bite, the entrees were just as good and flavorful, cooked to perfection you saw the love in the presentation of the dish. Homemade dessert Lemon cake with real whip cream and fresh coffee definitely will go back to the HILLTOP it is a destination class RESTAURANT, A PLACE YOU drive or ride to, for as many miles as it takes to get there, to enjoy and experience truly amazing recipes and a chefs main ingredient of Love .. ❤️👍🙏

Neat place, friendly service and good food.

Our first visit. I had the shrimp boiled bake, Margaret the salmon. We thoroughly enjoyed both. Very generous. Brought a lot of it home and continued to enjoy. We'll be back.

I would totally recommend this place! From the warm and welcoming setting, the service and the food, this place will NOT disappoint ! I am so glad that my husband and I decided to come here for the first time tonight! Haylee our waitress was absolutely one of the best we have ever had! Talk about hard working energetic and generally a pleasant demeanor! She’s fantastic!!! I wish I had gotten the name of the young man working with her bussing tables because holy cow he is a hard worker! This place is super lucky to have 2 such amazing employees!! Then there’s the food WOW! We had the fried pickles as an appetizer they were delicious! Beers are only 5 you can’t beat that! For our main entrees my husband had the stuffed spaghetti and meatballs and the fettuccine Alfredo for our main course and everything was just just delicious ! We will for sure be back here, sooner then later! Thank you for a great experience!!

Came here for date night. Atmosphere was very calm and cozy. Service was wonderful. Appetizer of crab dip was good. Prime rib dinner was giant and delicious. Will return.
