6 of us dined recently at the renovated Livonia Inn, and the transformation is quite impressive. Going back a few years, diners will recall a decent dining room, but a dingy, dank bar area. Well, try it now. The bar area has been totally remodeled...and the bathrooms as well. It is now brightly lit (actually, a bit too bright the night we were there in the bar area...could have used a little diming.) There are two dining areas, one in the bar area, and the other, on the opposite side of the bar area. We ate away from the bar, and on a Saturday night, had the place largely to ourselves. Wait staff wore masks and tables were appropriately distanced, one from another. A few in our party had prime rib specials, and liked their dishes. I had the Fish and Chips, cod fingers with garlic mashed potatoes...and it was a great! They have a nice wine and "beer on tap" selection, plenty of choices. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, service was prompt, and prices were reasonable for what we had. The Livonia Inn has been a fixture for many years, and has been a local favorite, under the able direction of long time owner, ( and character!), Ralph Parker. It has a bit of a feel of a neighborhood restaurant, but you feel at home, even if you're not from Livonia. Haute cuisine it ain't, but its a very good local choice. I'd definitely recommend the LI, especially if you haven't been there since they completed the renovations. Kudos to Ralph!More

Had an Angus burger with cheese and caramelized onions and the potato wedges. Unbelievable how delicious it was, and the meat was superbly tender and cooked just right. Can't say enough good things about the food so far, but I'm having their cajun chicken sandwich...with fries tonight. Will be patronizing them again soon. Remarkable food and decent prices, and nice atmosphere.More

Myself and 3 friends recently visited for dinner. We all settled on the specials and all thought they were excellent. The server (Stella) was helpful, pleasant and experienced. She was delightful. It had been about 2 years since my last visit but I will return...often. A very pleasant evening.More

We ate dinner at the Inn to celebrate our anniversary, and overall had a very nice time. Our server, Stella, couldn't have been more gracious and friendly! The food was quite good, if rather pricey ($26 for scallop risotto was rather steep, though it was...delicious). $6 for dessert was OK for a huge slab of chocolate cake; the lemon bar I had, however, was quite small given the price. If they want to keep all the desserts at the same price, they really need to double the size of this dessert--it's basically a bar cookie for six bucks. Otherwise, everything was well-done, and we will be back--not something we often say, as we'd often rather try a new place than revisit someplace we've already tried, but for the Livonia Inn, we'll make an exception to that rule!More

We recently moved to the area and trying to find some good places to eat out. We discovered this place and keep going back. Food is always excellent and serve is good too. Reasonably priced meals and drinks, this place has become our go to...place when eating out.More

We were searching for a good place to eat that wasn't out of the way and reasonable priced. We found it! The food was fantastic and wine was great too! Portion sizes were unbelievable! Filled my husband up with just the dinner and I had...to take half of mine home. We will definitely be back to enjoy more meals.More

I was thoroughly impressed with this eatery. The soups are among the best I have had. The fish was fresh, juicy and flavorful. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. In fact they even seated us after the restaurant had officially closed. The dining...area extremely clean and the dining rooms nicely done. Don't miss this one!More

We thought we were visiting a quaint local pub restaurant with a nice porch but stepping inside should have stopped us right there. The smell was stale and a bit like throw up. But being with friends I went along. We ordered their fish fries...and none of us could eat it - soggy, sour, served on plates that had a bit of hard food stuck on the side of one dish (ugh) and lipstick on another friend's coffee mug - figured that throw up smell was from another disgusted customer. Then when we saw the mouse scurry by the wall we left.More

We've had Friday Fish Fry's frequently and never disappointed. Service and conditions are so-so, but the fish fry is very good.
