A group of 15 of us agreed to meet at the Barking Gull on a recent Friday evening. Shame on us for not calling. It was buttoned up tight. If it is open it must only be for private parties. We were glad the White Water Pub was open next door. So, call before you go.

Looks nice on the outside and has a decent location...however when my girlfriend and I went in and got seated, the booth seats were covered in crumbs and dirt, table was dirty, and our menus had crumbs and ketchup smears all over. We decided to eat somewhere else.

At the Barking Gull right now. Sat inside. Beer is good and we ordered at the bar. Appetizers came out the our food came out two minutes later. Pizza was ok. Burgers were average. The onion rings were Luke warm and not very good. Tasted like they were full of water. Been here before and it was pretty good. Very... More

It is a little hard to find but WHAT A GREAT FIND. It is clean & the drinks are fun. You can sit inside or out on the patio. The drinks are tasty and reasonably priced. I haven't eaten there but from what I see (I've been there twice), it is packed so that should say something positive about the... More

There are a lot of pizzerias in the Liverpool area. Barking Gull was supposed to be different. It wasn't. It was supposed to be wood fired pizzas and usually those have a different taste and nice crispy crust. None of the 3 we had did. It seemed like your average standard pizza oven pizza. It was good and we would... More

We had the best pizza in Liverpool. I select calzone pizza with sauce. It had great flyover and I loved the crust

I expected more. Wood fired oven was not apparent. Usually with a wood fired pizza there is some really crispy crust. Not here. Sauce is very average. And it was expensive for what it was.

Stopped for dinner one night. Sat outside on their deck. We ordered 2 draft beers, 2 personal pizzas and an order of wings. Food was delicious. Service was a little slow. We had already ordered beers from the bar, but after we were seated it took a good 15 minutes for the server to arrive. after that every thing was... More

This restaurant has so much potential. The pizza is thin-crust and cooked in a wood-fired oven. Delicious. They have a long list of 12" pizza varieties, and it came cooked perfectly. I love being able to get this food in this area. The outside view is either the adjacent parks parking lot or, a park with the lake beyond. Still... More
