There's nothing, I mean NOTHING fancy about this place. It's just a great hotdog stop. Get a coney, a pickle and a birch beer. Now you can smother that dog in all the condiments you want, or be a purest and stick to mustard. Any way, it's a summer treat that's available all year round. Don't mind the lines, it... More

A must visit for tourists because the atmosphere is nostalgic. Heids has been serving their famous hot dogs and fries for years and years. Hometown taste.

It's a Landmark in CNY for everyone who loves a natural casing hotdog or coney. And you can wash it down with an ice cold chocolate milk !

Nothing has changed in all these years: They still have the best hot dogs and birch beer - and we keep coming back. Our son was visiting from St. Louis, and he had to make sure that he could get a Hyde's hot dog before returning. There's nothing fancy about Heid's. It hasn't changed since the 50s. But they sure... I use to go here as a kid with my family and we would get a Coonie (white hot dog) with the special mustard and chocolate milk and eat in the car. They now have picnic tables and the building has changed since I was little. I am senior now so you can understand. You have not been to Liverpool... More

We were in the area for a week and dined at Heid's on two evenings in the second week of August. It's not that I ever like hot dogs, but hey!, we were in the area, and needed a fast meal, and dining outdoors at picnic tables is fun. Franks and coneys (a white, pork only sausage) will set you... This place was very busy, line out the door, very popular with locals and visitors. We like biking along waterway nearby and wondered what the excitement was about. Hotdogs were okay not spectacular. Bought 2 deals at $8.50 each (2 hotdogs, 1 medium fry, 1 drink in a deal) for 2 adults and 2 children. More of a snack than... More

Stood in line to order - well worth the wait! The Coneys were excellent and the condiment bar plentiful with several relishes. Try the Birch Beer - it is awesome! You can enjoy your food al fresco at tables provided. There is a discount next door for ice cream if you have room! Heid's has been in business over 100... More
