Huge portions! Very generous! One portion here may feed three people, keep in mind. Nice service and pretty fast too. This place is a Chinese classic but family style. We fed 4 people and took more food home for around $100 for the dinner.

I'd like to share my dining experiences visiting LN1380, an Authentic cantonese dim sum, seafood restaurant that opened up down the road from me in Little Neck about 5 or 6 years ago.
I've eaten many delicious dishes here, enjoying dinners, as well as dim sum, and I've always found their food to be spot on, delicious, well prepared & served by a friendly staff.
Some of my favorite dishes have been chicken with curry, Peking Style pork chops,
and they make a great Sauteed Snow Peas Leaf with Fresh Garlic dish that is really worth ever penny! *Don't try to get that to go, it's best eaten when freshly served at the table!
I've eaten at Ln1380 at different times of the day, & year, and season to season they continuously serve up consistently prepared dishes, I will say Sunday mornings they get packed (busy) early for dim sum, and often Saturday's as well, but if you get there early on a week day (say before about 6pm) usually you can be seated without too long a wait, but even if you have to wait for a bit until seating is available to accomodate your parth, I'd have to say it's well worth it, and the anticipation just builds as you watch folks enjoying their food, & maybe spotting a dish you haven't yet tried, but seeing someone else enjoying it, will prompt you to give it a try.

We arrived at 6PM for dinner win a Sat eve. The place was packed. We waited for only 20 minutes and were happy to be seated a lovely booth. A five table party was in the adjacent space. We ordered West lake Beef soup while we looked at the menu. When our waitress returned with the soup she attempted to get us to order everything else all at once. We exasperated her when we insisted on ordering no more than two dishes at a time.. We did order Grouper and Bean Curd Casserole (excellent) and Smokey Black Bean Chicken, Snow pea leaves with garlic sauce, salt and pepper pork, seafood pan fried noodles, all served piping hot with bowls of white rice. The food was great, but we were somewhat uncomfortable because they made it clear that they don't serve this way. I guess it takes too long, and they want you in and out fast. That's the reason for my holding back one star.

My husband and I went to this restaurant on a Wednesday evening, the place was fairly empty. We waited ten minutes before anybody brought us a menu. another 10 minutes before our order was taken. We waited another 45 minutes for food that never arrived. No explanation or apologies for the delay. We can only surmise that they only attend Asian people. I was never treated this badly in an establishment, these people are rude and very prejudice DONT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE

Dim sum is served here with finese! Service is very attentive and there are so many choices of dim sum that are quite unique. As always they serve out all the favorite dim sum dishes but I've found the dim sum chef creates extra unique dim sum choices that are both creative & tasty! This time I went with family for dinner entrees during the lunch time. Yes you can do that! Order from the menu so you can have both dim sum lunch and dinner at the same time. Should I call it Dimner? Hey that might be a new trend. Technically we did order some dim sum as our appetizer and even reserved some tasty milk custard buns for our dessert(can't pass up on those yummy buns). We ordered our early dinner because we were just in the mood for something festive for a birthday celebratory meal. The food came out so well prepared I must say! We took the chance not knowing if the executive chef was cooking during the dim sum afternoon but apparently someone in the kitchen was quite talented. Our delish meal was well prepared, seasoned and served with warm attentiveness! Everyone walked by and gawked at our lovely "dimner" meal wondering why are they eating so much during lunch usually dedicated for dim sum. Happy Eating and I'll see you around the tables next time I'm in the mood for "sum dimner", get it? haha

Disappointing, mediocre, lack of flavor, some dishes cooked completely differently than its peers in flushing and right next door. Slow service.
Ordered a number of items off a piece of paper and waited 35 minutes for them to bring mediocre dishes, they then mess up the orders and gave ours away
At one point I left the restaurant to check next door (northern manor, another dim sum spot which I gave 4 stars) to see if they were opened since I literally at this point just wanted to pay for the crappy dishes we had and just leave unfortunately next door was still closed...
Horrible experience never coming back again

LN1380's serves good dimsum. The thing that makes it special us that many items are customized for special occasions. Cute and tasty! Their prices lean towards the expensive side but I think it's worth it if you want to impress your guests and the location is excellent if you want to avoid the Chinatown crowds in Manhattan or Flushing. There's valet parking behind the restaurant for $3.

Stopped in for dinner. It was really busy, we waited 45 minutes for a table.
Once seated we were waited on quickly. We ordered a lot of food since there was eight in our party. Started with appetizers, Dungeness crab and the Luxury Dim Sum Platter.
Then had a variety of dinner items including a seafood soup, shrimp dishes, chicken and fish. The rack of lamb was excellent. Go early if you don't want to wait.

Nice, pretty, clean Asian cuisine. Seems to be the Lunch of choice when in this area. We were a mixed group of those wanting auntentic Asian cuisine, Dim Sum and those wanting American style from a traditional menu. Requested the wait staff to bring the meals for those ordering traditional menu dishes at the same time as the first dim sum dishes, they did not. Dim Sum was ordered from a check off list vs the carts that roll around in most places. Both traditional and Dim Sum were scrumptious. Perhaps it is because my friends and I are not of the same culture as those in the restaurant, our requests do not usually get paid attention to.

We came here for lunch on a Saturday. Ordered all sorts of dim sum. One better than the other. They still have the ladies going around the restaurant with goodies on a cart. Much better than many restaurants in Hong Kong. I really recommend. I understand for dinner they also specialize in fresh fish. Don't miss it

This is a fairly new restraurant, less than a year, in Little Neck area. Attracted by its fairly modern looking deco, dissapointed by the less than average quality of food it serves. This restaurant offers very similar menu as its neighbor, Northern Manor, though the price for every compatible dish is slightly higher.

We have had dinner in LN1380 twice in the last few years when we happened to be in Long Island, specially Great Neck and found this restaurant to service authentic Chinese food versus the usual take out version. The restaurant is very clean and the service is first rate. The service staff speaks some English so make sure they understand what you order by pointing to the item on their great looking menu. It does get very busy at dinner time especially on weekends so you might expect a wait time.

Excellent food, a definite must try if you're in the neighborhood. Authentic Chinese food at a great price. The place is family style, no one is going home hungry, portions are huge.

My family wanted a dim sum brunch so we tried LN1380 which is fairly new. We had a great time. I thought that it was going to be a long wait as there were lots of people waiting but after only ten minutes we were taken to our table. Shortly after, the first cart rolled by with a selection of different rolls. They continued to come by with different selections each time. We particularly liked all the shrimp dumplings but they were all different and some of us liked one but not another but in the end we were all satiated and happy with our experience.
