I have been to the Village Lanterne many times and I have not had a bad meal ever. Everything from the schnitzel to the many brats, the goulash and the beer - oh the BEER is all delicious!!! And let me not forget the amazing pretzel rolls that they serve warm when you sit down - add a little butter,... More

We loved the choice of so many different German beers on tap. So much more than you ever have a choice of. I had the stuffed pork chop - it was so big, I barely put a dent in it. It was really interesting stuffing. I do wish that there wasn't so much sauce on top - just a little... More

Went on a Saturday night with group of friends and the music was so loud that we were unable to talk and waitress was unable to hear us ordering. The tables were so close she would drip the drinks bringing it over my head due to lack of space. The food was good not great. I ordered spaetzle and received... More

Fun place to go during this cold winter. My favorite dishes are the Hungarian Goulash and the Kassler Rippchen (Huge smoked pork chop). Hamburgers are also a big hit with others in my party. Every night there is entertainment which is so nice with dinner. We have celebrated special occasions and even one New Year's Eve here. Go there for... More

Beautiful ambience and decorative but I was a bit disappointed.no single malt scotch and a schnitzel that was uninspiring.

Pretzel burgers are huge and delicious My favorite dinner is the sauerbraten Yummm. All different kinds of beers. Authentic decorations from Germany. Adds a great touch. Always look forward to the live German bands.

Having visited Germany many times for business, this is a very good and authentic German restaurant. The decor is excellent and the 'entertainment' (if that's the right word) is also on the mark. The night we visited an accordionist and drummer provided not the most musical but very traditional German music. We were sat at the opposite end of the... More

Love German food? This is the place you need to be. The atmosphere is awesome & the service is great. The food takes a little longer to get out but it's satisfying & fillings for sure! The beer garden is a fun time too. It gets very busy so be sure to make a reservation!!

atmosphere pretty and cozy; waitresses the best; food very good. what stinks is the act they always put on when you don't have a reservation, even on a weekday: "oh, let's see if we can squeeze you in" (with a big pout on their faces)," as if they're the only place in town ... come on ... !

The place is hopping with great decorating making for an attractive Bavarian atmosphere and lively entertainers providing a festive feeling . It was the first time we tried this place for German food...our "go to " place is the Oak Chalet in Bellmore about 7 miles away from here. This is a nice alternative, albeit a little noisy compared to... More
