I had eaten at the restaurant next store and saw this BBQ place and decided to drive back out and give it a shot. My girlfriend went with the "Big Cheese" which was Jack & cheddar, American, Swiss, & provolone on grilled white, wheat, or...rye with bacon & tomato. She forgot to ask for no bacon but we took it off and she enjoyed the sandwich. She got a side of macaroni salad (she enjoyed this) and some pickles (which I got). I though the bacon was excellent. I went with the 1/2 rack of ribs which came with a small portion of baked apples (would have liked more), corn bread and two sides (some good garlic mashed potatoes and cole slaw). Overall an enjoyable BBQ for the area and would consider going back to try something else. The place also has a full bar with TV's and some people were down there drinking and playing a gold game (they also have darts). We sat in a separate dining area up some stairs which was cozy.More

The bar has the charm of yesteryear. Tried the pulled pork and it was good and the barkeep was very pleasant and attentive. If you like BBQ and are in the area then this is the place to go!

Stopped in for dinner and a drink. Had the fish special, both of us. Service quick, food tops, and great space. Specializing in BBQ foods and happy times. The bar is always busy.

Burgers, BBQ, Wings, Brisket. Big bar room with tables up a few stairs to one side. The burger tasted like the real thing. Cole slaw better than average. The music was too loud.

Date of Visit: May 26th, 2018 4 people This little BBQ joint in LeRoy, NY is definitely a great out of the way find. It is just one more amazing reason to visit the town of LeRoy. We love to have BBQ, and no road...trip would be complete without stopping at a BBQ joint at some point. This is definitely a locals hang out – which is a huge appeal for us, because if the locals love it, that is a good thing. It is not a touristy spot at all. Here, you find locals sitting at the bar, chatting with the bartender while enjoying their favourite beer after work, or on a weekend afternoon, etc. There is ZERO pretense here – just a good hang out with good food and good beer. The food was quite unexpectedly amazing. We (a party of 4) had several different items from the menu, and each was really good. The chicken and brisket are both perfectly cooked and flavoured. Dishes come with corn bread, apples, and 2 sides -so you definitely do not leave hungry. The mac & Cheese is amazing – coleslaw and tomato/cucumber salad are all great. The service at this restaurant is perfect. There is nothing over the top about this place because they focus on Good food & good beer. The waitress was great. She was pleasant, attentive, and prompt. The cost of meals here are very reasonable - $15-20 tops, and there is so much food, you will leave happy. Visit Smokin’ Eagle in LeRoy for some great BBQ.More

On a recent visit to see a couple friends in Western NY, we decided to meet up here on Saturday evening for dinner. It was a snowy evening and downtown LeRoy was picturesque. Parking is a bit tight along the street, but was plentiful in...a lot a block or so away. The dining rooms were apparently hosting private events, so we ended up at a high rise table near the bar which was a bit loud but fine. We all ordered a variety of wings, which is one of their specialties, and a couple beers. Perhaps it was the style of wings I ordered (they were baked and fried), but they seemed to be over cooked — not the best, but ok. The service was good, and prices were ok. Overall, the place had a historic feel to it, although also a little rough around the edges. Since I was with friends I hadn’t seen in a while, it wasn’t really about the food as we had a great time. If we had more than 3 of us though, it would have been tough that night to get a table there.More
