The food was okay. The problem was it sat on the counter waiting to be served for over five minutes! Would have been better piping hot.

This is not a classy restaurant and does not have ambiance. What Ted's has is an amazing Fish Fry that is always good, always fresh and always a "go to" whenever I come back to the Capital District. There are many restaurants that people talk about because their menu gets stale and dated and never changes. Thank you Ted's for... More

Got 3 fish large fries and onion rings for $27.00. The fish is still good but the fries were loaded with oil and just 1/2 cooked. The onion rings were also half cooked and tasteless. Last visit to Teds!

Having grown up in the Albany area, I've cherished these fish fries and other Ted's menu items for decades. Since moving away back in the 80's Ted's is the first place I visit to enjoy a favorite taste of home whenever I return for a family visit. No place else I've lived in or traveled to, and there have been... More

The best fish fry by far! The clam chowder is great but very pricey for the place. The Latham store really needs a make over in decor but the food is great. The service is A+, those all the Doyles working there the past 20 years or so... love them! Sometimes we call it Doyles Fish Fry LOL

On a recent trip my husband and I decided to try Ted's Fish Fry -- an Albany institution. We had checked out their website and thought it looked good -- and we were right! The fish fry, served a la carte or as part of a combo, was excellent. A large piece of fish on a roll was fried just... More

Went to teds after years of hearing great things from so many people. It was literally garbage. Fish was old and tastes terrible. Fries were undercooked, just heartbreaking maybe I hit a off day but I won't be back.

A local favorite. Food cooked to order, fast and cheap. All the locals know it, multiple locations, exactly the same at each.

I do not eat deep-fried things very often. But, every once in awhile I will get a craving for some fried haddock or cod. This place will suit that craving. The fish they use (I think it is cod) is in these beautiful, long white strips that look to be about 6-8 ounces or more. It goes way past the... More

Description
Fish fries are our specialty, but we're also known for having the best burgers, which are always fresh, and don't forget about our meat sauce dog, smothered with special sauce that's derived from a time-honored Greek family recipe. For four years in a row, Ted's Fish Fry was voted the Best Fish Fry in the Capital District by the readers of Capital Region Living Magazine.
